Got it from the novel www.GiantEffingRobots.com It's Simmon's site, same deal as with therealeffingdeal, asks for user and password. In the book, Leo refferences the Guy who runs the site as Robowarrior(this is Simmons). So two possible Sites of Viral Marketing Fun!! Guh.. another stupid "viral" site. These were stupid the first time, and they are still stupid now. Just show the stuff instead of making everyone hunt around for clues and crap. It's just marketing people clammering for the hot new thing.... still.
I am thinking the same thing, Something about giant F-ing robots! Could he be looking for the gobots forum?
Trust me, IF i figure it out, I will let EVERYONE know, But right now my focus is finishing the novelization of ROTF and getting the summaries up. So if anyone else wants to have at, Please do!!!
Haha. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for. The site is password protected, and I'm not gonna hunt down the info.
I thought only www.therealeffingdeal.com was found, on the back of Leo's Jacket in the trailer. www.Gianteffingrobots.com is new, as far as I can tell, I searched the threads. But anyway, yeah, If anyone can hack Either site, that would be great.
But StopSectorSeven was fun. It was a great time figuring out all the codes and leads, then administrating with Methusalen and working with all the other fans, especially stuff like the contest that we came up with. And heck, we ended up with full-size posters signed by Peter Cullen, along with a personal message from him. Just adds another element to the hype, and can be fun if you're into that kind of thing. That one is "therealeffingdeal.com" and this one is a different address, but both were created by the same person, so they're definitely part of whatever viral marketing thing this will end up being.
Ping results for both show that they are at least going to separate servers C:\>ping www.therealeffingdeal.com Pinging a278.g.akamai.net [72.215.224.51] with 32 bytes of data: C:\>ping www.gianteffingrobots.com Pinging a656.g.akamai.net [72.215.225.138] with 32 bytes of data:
