Another tv spot with no new footage

 

OK,this is starting to piss me off Now.

 

I'll admit that releasing this many tv spots in such a short time span is a bit unheard of. However, using only scenes from the tailer isnt. Given that they're tv spots, they don't have to feature new footage. The marketing team is thinking smart in using what they've already shown and re-editing it into short 30second spots in different ways to make the film look good.

 

Why?

 

So, last night I had this weird dream. Optimus killed Drift and Megatron indeed helped the Autobots. He and Bumblebee teamed up and were going against Prime. At first Megatron saw this as an opportunity to get revenge on his enemies, but then he realized that all he had done before was wrong and he gave up at the end. Bumblebee almost died, Prime ripped his arm and parts of his stomach!

 

That sounds like something that could cone true.

 

I actually like it more this way. You can say what you want. But at least you can say "well it didn't spoil the movie"

 

We don't want them to ruin the whole movie like they did for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Civil War though.

 

Very strange marketing approach this time around.

 

At least we know they are actually trying to market

 

Don't bother watching it, it's the same trailer in a slightly different order again.

 

Same old same old.  

Can't say I blame them, but something new would be welcome.

 

Wouldn't it suck if they're churning out TV spots now because they weren't able to get a spot for the Super Bowl lololol

I wouldn't worry about that.

 

Don't understand why anyone is getting pissed because of no new footage? I don't expect anything major and new till the Super Bowl spot. At least we are getting TV spots early this time and concept art and social media advertising and teasing early. We didn't get any of that with the last movies. At least not like this, before the Super Bowl. I think they are doing a great job with advertising this time around.

 

This is pretty smart of bay keeping the film underwrap, I hope he keeps it up with reusing footages we already saw until the next trailer

 

The film is still six months away and is still in post production at this point. The reuse of the trailer footage is common sense at this juncture. And I hope they keep it to a minimum with what they show. So many movie trailers/TV spots pretty much show everything in the film anymore. You want people to get excited for the film, but you don't want to see a cliff notes version in all of the marketing spots.

I'd like to think how much better(though marginally) if Batman V Superman had never once mentioned Wonder Woman was going to be in the film. Not one iota of proof till watching the film and you see her, and think to yourself, is that who I think it is, until she shows up later in the film. Just completely under wraps. Or Doomsday for that matter.

Still that wouldn't have fixed that films' tone and story.

 

Yeah well Bayformers and disappointment do tend to be relative so.....

 

Because either they give us one piece of new footage for 1 second or they can stop with the tv spots for now but i guess this is good for advertisement.

 

Another tv spot not bad at all in trying to rev up the consumer to see it in june....
