This thing seems way too littered with QC issues to warrent a purchase for me. I'll just stick with my Official Delta Magnus for now.

I'm sure Takara will give him a re-release eventually, and when that happens, I'm gonna pick up the original release since the price will probably go down. I'm not really worried about the fold away Butt-Flap.

 

Might I interest you in the kfc articulated hands for Delta Magnus?

 

Gotta admit, his ‘sampling’ Optimus’ “till all are one” quote followed by cursing when on center stage in front of an audience seemed to start him off on the track of a typical rapper.

Unfortunately, he was one to take the ‘break down’ too literal.

This wouldn't really replace the original though, it's a modern engineered version of it.

Wow just got this today from baba. I ordered on the 28th and got it today! Amazing shipping. Anyways, he is totally a big boy but i am more at awe with mp36! The engineering of mp22 especially the shoulders are just...well what can you do. The red extensions that allow the arms to flail out should not be trusted to last in the long run. It seems to be ready to crack or show stress. My copy has some mold flashes and some bad paint edges but theyre minor and fixable. Joints are tight no looseness anywhere. I am starting to warm up to him entirely. Overall, i im glad i did not pay the mp price.

 

Maybe they should have done that red piece in diecast to make it more durable...maybe?

 

<sigh> I posted before about how I wanted an MP-22 for Chrismas this year, but after seeing all the options and all the different versions and trying to be diligent and pick the one I liked, I gave up and went with some other stuff. Perhaps for my birthday in July, but right now it just seems like there's a ton of versions out there.

 

As I recall those extensions on the shoulders are actually an upgrade that the KO makers included from an add-on kit. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm thinking I recall that...

 

Correct, and while this is a great upgrade over the original, durability of the material used will for me always be in question...

 

So far we have:
1. The straight up Takara KO. Those who have it seem to be happy with the quality
2. THF KO. It has a few annoyances.

Is there a third KO?

Interesting, but im ok with my THF. Some overspray in the edges but not a huge problem for me. I think i got lucky on my copy...

 

The original mp was quite tame with pre-order discounts applied at $116. Nothing like MP44.

Still thinking of picking this up to repaint and swapping the improved cab backpack onto my original.
