    This^^^

It is REALLY unnecessary and to be honest I hate the clones. I think for combinders its not a bad idea. But for characters like blackout it should be a no go.

I think Subgroups are an exception.

Actually, I don't mind it much at all if it gives us the opportunity to see more of that particular design. For example, Blackout himself did not fight any Autobots in TF1 (unless you count the split second where Ironhide blocks his attack on Sam), so I don't mind seeing his model engaging in battle with Prime in ROTF.

It's possible, no one said it was gonna happen.

I hope it does and they make a better toy.

possibly but I hope not for 2 reasons :

    1. they can stop using that horrible mold.

    2. so that the pleading for a leader class Blackout/Grindor cease

It depends on how things are done.

Drones yes I 100% agree with you I hate drones they are just so damn boring. Even in Iron Man 2 where they had some cool looking drones it still didn't feel like Iron Man and War Machine were doing anything special by beating a bunch of mindless drones. Even in the Clone Wars cartoon the good episodes are the ones where the Jedi and Clone Troopers have to fight something other than drones.

Now if it's a different character with a different paint job using the same body and alt mode I don't mind that. It's sort of nod to how Hasbro has been using repaints forever to bring more characters into Transformers without having to make a new mold every time.

I voted yes myself. Should be Vortex for real this time if the Combaticons are really in this movie.

THIS PL0X. I mean, Brawl, Blackout (Maybe as Vortex), could be parts of Bruticus!

That's true, but their robot-modes were practically identical. I was talking about taking the basic form of the original but changing a couple of things within reason so it isn't just a lazy clone.

Sort of off-topic question but sort of related as well.
In my recent collection of figures from the Bay movies, I got a duel package containing Whirl and Bludgeon. I don't ever recall seeing Whirl in TF2, but in TF1 we had Blackout. Am I wrong that Whirl was just a re colored version of Blackout? Is Blackout identical to Whirl?

    Whirl's just a repaint/retool thing. I think his head's different.

That Helicopter had been Vortex, Grimlock, Incinerator and Soundwave at one stage or another of the 2007 Movie's pre-development.

The Previs even shows a similar Helicopter as Soundwave that's also why he still has a head like a Decepticon Logo (as Soundwave also does) and has a Minion.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was one. If they are going the full scale Decepticon invasion route, I'd prefer it if we got a bunch of Blackout, Brawl, Bonecrusher, Barricade clones over generic protoforms.

love to see vortex & the other 4 combaticons combine into bruticus in the TF3 movie/toy line.

I really want those 3 nascar wreckers to be the stunticons. I so want to see a menasor combiner

Voted Yes because, even though it would be slightly annoying.... but

IMO i have to think, that having another Blackout/Grindor Character "may" make it a little more justifiable for Hasbro (Though, it dose not mean they will ) for making a Leader class Version.

As they can potentially re-release it with 2 other character names that where in the previous movie's "so regarding toys, i reckon more the better  " and Hasbro could ether with "or without" slight modification (preferably "with" etc.. different Head and Paint) sell different versions which, i personally would like to get a Leader Class "EVAC" and maybe a "Whirl":D

Plus, it also could help lower the cost and time of the "CGI animation Process" which could be focused on other or new characters, "even though, they probably will not get much screen time again." :rolleyes2 :lol
