Hi guys. So... I had anime export ship me my leader class blaster using the cheaper shipping option. The tracking says it's been sitting in the same facility in New York since Oct 17. Is that normal? Have they lost it? It left Japan over a month ago.

 

Not sure about that site, bot there's been times where I ordered something off HLJ with the cheapest shipping where it's taken just a few days under a month

 

SAL shipping (the cheaper option) can easily take a month or more. A quick SAL is 2-3 weeks.

 

I guess I'll hang in there...

 

Yeah, I do SAL all the time to save money. Every time I do it, I try to convince myself it's the last time cause the waiting sucks. A month long wait is average. At least you have tracking. SAL without tracking would drive me crazy.

 

If the tracking shows it made it to NY, its just stuck in customs. Especially if its a big box with a relatively low value. They'll get it moving eventually.

Yes, it's possible to ship more than a month, because it shipped nothing to customer.

Don't order with AE, I've blacklisted this shop as they never shipped my Metal Build Gundam Exia Reissue (already released in market in August) even full pre-order cost and delivery charges are paid. They keep no reply on my daily email, no shipment of the item, and no money return.

You can find none of the e-shop require full payment for a pre-ordered item but give customer nothing.

 

Lost in customs. Sucks as that happened to me as well. How I lost my MP Roddy.

Don't hang in there, start you PayPal dispute so they get on to initiating the investigation.

 

Yeah, it still hasn't moved out of NY. Unfortunately, I paid for this thing months and months ago.

How do I start this investigation? Do I contact the US postal service since it's in New York?

 

Same thing with my Roddy preorder, PayPal window had expired.

Here's the deal. I called the post office and the only one who can file a claim is AE and we all know how responsive they are.

So I filed a claim on the shipping charges to get their attention and they didn't even respond to that so I got that back.

At that point all I could do was call Customs directly which I actually haven't done. Seemed pointless but what could it hurt.

 

Did it ever show up?

 

For what its worth, I usually go with EMS when purchasing internationally. It costs a bit more but speaking only for me it is worth the security and speed of delivery.

I always take the slow route and it shows always up. Sometimes it takes so long I forgot I ordered something and then I have a pleasant surprise   Or I keep guessing what of my pre-orders awaits me.

 

What's the longest it's taken? Ever gone over a month?

 

I think 6 or 8 weeks sometimes. Depends on how fast it got shipped and hoe fast customs are. Sometimes only 2-3 weeks. It varies.

I have been ordering from anime export since March 2015 now

 

I'm in the UK but I have had SAL shipping take over a month from AE before. I ordered MP-28 and MP-29 from AE for example and had MP28 sent by SAL while a month later I opted for EMS on MP-29, MP-29 turned up first.

 

You think that's bad? I'm still waiting for my AOE Mirage and Dispensor

 

I would hope mp20 did show up before those two!
