So I got my Wreck-Gar . . . and I was a little disappointed that the rear hatch doesn't open. I figure that you could possibly mod it so that the gate could flip into the truck . . . . Then i noticed that there is enough clearance that. With a little snipping here and there, I got my tailgate to slide open.

Now in bot mode, I can store stuff like a toilet, vacuum cleaner, cash register, or a sink in the trash container! There is even more storage space if you flip out the truck cab. I can only store the toilet, sink and cash register at the same time. (NOTE: [In reference to the accessories] I mentioned that I got them from PLAYMOBIL sets.)

In order to crack open the container there are three screws: two you can see with your own eye. The other one is on the same side (right side of the container) hidden behind the tail light. The tail light comes straight out. [Be] careful not to break the part that wraps around the other side (if you look inside the trailer you will see that it is held together with a large post). That is where the screw is.

When you remove all three screws, don't rush to pry apart the container. there are two pins at the top that hold the container together. They are right above the blade storage slots. Don't bother removing those; just carefully pry apart the container halves and pop the tailgate out.

If you study the tailgate carefully, you will see you need to remove some stuff from the back (the side that faces into the container) in order to clear the tail lights when you try to slide it back up. Just trim a little and test fit it. If you look closely at one of my pics, you will see I made notches to clear the tail lights. If you look at Wreck-Gar leaning over, you can see the stuff inside the container. Also, you will see I haven't replaced the tail light.

Oh yeah, another important thing: you need to make notches in the container. When you get yours, you will see that the slide grooves don't continue through and let the gate slide. So you need to trim a little out and open the grooves so that the gate can slide out.

Have fun! Remember take your time. Trim a little and test it.

I forgot to mention: the only way i can get the gate to slide down is when I partially transform him. I have to get fingers on both sides of the gate and then pull it down. It doesn't open very well when in truck or bot mode. But, who cares? It looks cool.
