Ok, let me start this with just two words... Animated Mini-cons. Now before ya go off on me, give me a second to make my case. After seeing Bumblebee's Animated Scooter, (I know it's a gobot, but he said he based it on Sureshock) I'm now convinced that not only is it possible, but it'd be super cool to see some Mini-con Animated Mini-con Toys. Now I'm not talking about the whole Armada thing of hundreds of attachable Pokemon here, more like Micromasters. They could be represntative of a "small" class of worker bots on Cybertron, or Sari's dad (in an attempt to make his own TF's) could make them in order to help out the Autobots. Whatever the idea, I think at least 3 to six of these (1 or 2 sets) would be great sellers for Hasbro and add a smaller class into the mix of Animated toys as the smallest class so far seems to be Deluxe.
Honestly, I love minicons. Not the whole "attach for powerup!" crap, more like how the Classic Mini-cons were done, just as tiny robots. I think that would be awesome for animated or any toy line.
As long as they either didn't have the Minicon port on them, or that it didn't get in the way of them being a robot of their own, than I would be fine with them. I wouldn't have a problem with them turning into guns for bigger robots, just as long as they had a normal handle on them, instead of needing to use the Minicon port to be used as a gun.
Yes please. Mini-cons rock as figures, but they've never been handled properly. Animated could change that. I'm just waiting for the inevitable Animated Legends figures, so I can have a mini-BB to go with Bulkhead.
That would actually be pretty cool. But I'm with the idea of getting rid of the minicon port completely. Bring back the Targetmaster post!
Mini-cons of any sort would be welcome by me. They're one of the best things to come from the last half-decade of TF toys.
Animated Minicons would never work, their chins would be bigger than the rest of their body, and the chin kibble would stick out in vehicle mode.
I'm alright with tiny Transformers, not power-up packs that sound like they're constantly spewing out censored lines.
Minicon without a Minicon port = Micromaster All the G1 small/partner bots made sense since they would turn into a gun or a body part. Micromasters made sense as they were small but would still transform into real scale vehicles (Zone and Victory, the US comics never made any sense when it comes to scale). Minicons are... cute, since they literally turn into toys. Then a bigger TF would pick them up, attach them to their butts to upgrade into more powerful beings. I just think it's the most ******ed concept in the TF history ever, sorry. As toys, they're awesome though. Remove the stupid Minicon port from them and they'll be the current Micromasters. Give them new city/base bots to go with and it'll be perfect.
Yeah me too. Even if the larger toys in the line didn't have Minicon ports, they'd still be compatable with the ones from the Trilogy.
