Another old custom I never posted, here's Animated Arcee converted to more G1. She was my CHUG, but now I'm going to need the new one. New head (cast from dominomist) and hands (from RTS Optimus I think). Other than that it's mostly paint. White paint that was a pain, but still. View attachment 28603457
Haven't transformed that in a while. It really does need a trunk fabricated. The little wind vain thing will really help it read as arcee
That looks great. And, it looks like Arcee. A wind vane thing might be nice, but I think she looks pretty good as-is!
This looks really promising!!! I've always felt this mold could have been used for both Animated and CHUG Arcee. Love how you have the trunk looking. Keep it up!!
Progress and test fitting in robot mode. I will need to parts-form a bit. The left in car mode switches 180' and on the right; and vice versa. Also the spike/spoiler thing is going to need to be pretty small to not hit the backpack parts in bot mode.
Roughed out the spoiler/fin today. I'm happy with how this is coming along. Basically I get to work on it during my kids nap time.
The only other thing I'd like to work on is the finish on the sides of the trunk. It would be nice if I could have one solid thin piece to cover my glue seams. I can't get everything sanded down to my liking.
Looks AWESOME!!! I’m wanting to make a Transmetal Megatron/Galvatron out of animated Grimlock and Transmetal Primal out of Cybertron mode Optimus. Not sure how to go about making the dino head attach to the arm , don’t really want to cut the hand off. I’m trying to figure out another way to use magnets without cutting lol
Cool! Transmetal2 Megs had the dino head as shoulder pads, didn't he? Splits in half. That might help, since there is already a seam there.
Actually he had a dragon on his left arm in his Transmetal 2 form lol but that might look cool too. I was thinking this for him
