I'm liking the packaging for this line. When I finaly get to buy these guys, I shall open them, stare lovingly at the package, then leave it on the floor for the rest of the day while I play with the toys whilst on the computer, finally chucking the boxes on top of my wardrobe with the rest of my TF packaging - a feat easier said than done. One of these days it's all gonna fall on me and crush me to death, I just know it.
Love the figur so far, but I don't like the box design. They could have given the box art "movie" colors.
Cybertron was the best PERIOD!!!! Best toys, best show, best packaging. Gonna be a long time before we see another TF line of that calibur.
Toy looks nice, but the graphic design for the packaging on Animated just seems... unappealing in my opinion. Doesn't seem particularly well thought out. The idea and setup is ok, but the actual graphics used are just so basic and "clown-vomity" colorful.
By 'we', I'm presuming you mean you and anyone else who is violently against Animated? Word of caution, mate: Never use the word 'we' when stating an opinion. Not everyone agrees with you. I, for one, disagree with the 'best show' remark. I've seen more facial expressions in a popsicle. For me, the order goes BW-Animated-RiD-G1-shows I haven't seen yet-Cybertron.
Thanks for the pics. Looks nice, but I agree the box art looks blaaa. I guess "keep it simple", recent box art from hasbro may have had too much going on for this line. Looks very red, white and blue so I like that. Not sure if I'll have the money to pick up any of this line though. Maybe I'll find better paying job soon.
Other than the shape of the box, I'd say the boxes for this line are pretty average. Not bad, but not outstanding. I do dislike the shape of the box. It'll be a pain to store. What is it you dislike? The colors? Or the eyes on the symbols? If it's the colors ... I guess there's some nostalgia attached to the Red=Autobots, Purple=Decepticons, but I like they've moved away from that. Man... I wish you had seen Cybertron. It was a very mediocre show. Out of all the episodes I saw, there were about 2 episodes that could be considered good. Yeah, the bots looked great, but the show was pretty bad. Armada - which IMO was hit & miss - was better than Cybertron. Of your order, I'd rate G1 higher the RiD. Heck... RiD, just like Cybertron looked great, but was pretty sad as a show. I'd rate Armada higher than RiD. -airfox
I have seen the entirety of Cybertron. Not a good decision. Not only did it suck, it definitely chewed up a shitoad of bandwidth as I watched it online. And I really did like RiD, based on the eps I've managed to catch on theTube of You. I like that cartoon-style, and it was funny. But that's my opinion,
RID was all about the Autobots, which in theory sounds great, but when most of nthe character, humour, story and good VAing comes from the Preds/Cons, it was not as great as it could've been. Sky-byte, Scourge and Ruination rocked, though.
Well, I have only seen the first 7 eps or so, so I missed a whole shiteload of stuff. The last one I saw was the one with Skid-Z in it. I agree that SKy-Byte rocked the total balls, though. I mean, a Predacon who begs for recognition and a terrible poet? Uber winnage.
