http://cgi.ebay.com/2008-TF-animate...oryZ4696QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem postage is alot though, but its a good offer
Yeah, you didn't read the whole auction, did you? And it's not that great a deal, even for early release.
why did he put local pickup then? Also compared to the other prices on the animated stuff they are pretty good deals. I saved about 20 or 30 on my Animated Prime.
Lol would be awesome bout I'd doubt my relatives in HK want to go pick this up... and the wait would be pretty much the same as paying postage
It's in the auction, guy. He says local pickup only, but in the description he says that he doesn't sell to HK bidders. What he's doing is using excessive shipping charges to dodge eBay fees. But since eBay almost certainly runs automated checks for auctions with shipping that's 3,000% more than the item cost, he says local pickup only, then posts the inflated shipping in the description, where eBay is less likely to catch it. He won't actually sell it to a HK bidder, because he doesn't want someone there picking it up for $0.99
Cheers I bought one of his primes and thought I had missed something thats all You've put my mind at rest
Shipping isn't jacked up. Registered mail or EMS would be $18-35 anyways. Which essentially makes it a SS for like $1-5 bucks which seems kind of strange.
He probably isn't EMSing it. He's making ALL his money on the shipping, so it's probably going as cheap as possible. Me too, joopsta. Prowl + Lockdown = WIN.
Yeah but I think even the cheapest shipping options are still at least $15 or so. I mean, considering how much these unreleased figs go for normally, (way over $30) it seems like no matter what he's selling himself short. Maybe he got it cheap and is being generous. I dunno
I hope not too cheap. You gotta think too, he HAS to be getting these for nothing. By whatever means, its a good deal.
It wouldn't surprise me if he gets them right from the factory or right from a shipping container headed for the US. I think part of them being so cheap is the large number of Animated figures available. He needs to stay competitive so he gets them out the door before they can be had at mass retail. Just saying, don't buy this and expect it to be EMSed. I'd guess it would be sent Airmail or even Surface mail (It can probably be done for $8).
Which is great because you can't even send a paper clip Priority to your next door neighbor without it costing at least $8.
Exactly. It's the economic principle of TINSTAAFL. Something looks too good to be true...well, it almost certainly is.
