Very cool. Does a great job of going from "Autobot" to "Decepticon" height. Another one in the exclusive "taller than Lockdown" club, even if only by a tiny bit (or more if you count antennae or shoulders)

 

Neat. I wish there had been a way to preserve a different overall color scheme between the two bot modes (ala Punch/Counterpunch), but regardless, this guy looks very solid.

The return to mold detailings and slight step away from the "everything's got round edges" TFA aesthetic may make this guy a purchase for me. Thanks for the great review; that obviously took a lot of time... and revisiting the Marvel cover is pure genius!

 

Hey Peaugh, is his crane like Energon Landmine's crane string or his crane a close combat weapon like Cyberon Mudflap?

This might be easily the best TF toy of 08!

  ....This may very well be, the best animated action figure pic I've seen yet! And there have been some really good ones mind you.

And Peaugh...Damn you for making me buy yet another figure! That's right, you held a gun (cannon) to my face and said you WILL buy this figure or else! At least that's what I'm telling myself.

I don't even need knowledge of what "else" refers to, only that it's ramifications must be dire should I not buy this Shockwave/Longarm.

 

I'm not much for this incarnation, but I will definitely buy the inevitable purple repaint.

And thanks for the photos...for those of us who don't enjoy video reviews.

Thats cracking - With both modes being correctly transformed you get the sense that they could be taken for entirely different entities.

I am going to be getting 2 of this bad boy when they are released and one will become purple shortly afterwards  

 

Nice review, the dance party was cool.

Shockwave looks cooler than Longarm though.

 

Don't know if this has been asked or not, but can the cannon be placed on the other arm?

Hey Peaugh, is it possible to configure Longarm with the limbs extended, to approximate his gimmick from the show?

 

Could you take a pic or two of Shockwave's head transformation? And I was also wondering if Longarm was as posible in the legs as Shockwave is, considering Longarm's lesgs are the back of Shockwave's.

 

Looks to be one of the best in the line (well, of what we have seen so far). Cannot wait to pick this guy up.

 

Rather than getting 2 figures to display with each faction, I think it'll be cooler to have him displayed as Shockwave with the Cons one week, then displayed as Longarm with the Autobots another week. Doesn't make much sense to me to have a character who is technically just 1 bot being displayed simultaneously.  

I *do* want an extra for my Shockwave display shelf, but might take a gamble and just wait for a possible purple repaint. I hope that's as inevitable as some people are saying it is.

 

Waiting to get one of these is so hard.
