Unless it's just a breakaway joint, and not a rotational joint, as I mentioned prior.

Received my Rodimus yesterday and I love both modes. The transformation and aesthetic is dead on with the rest of the animated line.

I wish the windows were like Blurr, Jazz, and Bumblebee: opaque. I think the translucent blue is a cool nod to the G1 roots, but the Autobot cars (aside from Arcee) all match in that respect, and I don't think Rodimus would suffer.

That's a minor, minor nitpick. Overall, an amazing addition to the line!

If the copyright date is 2008, is it possible that the toy was designed back when Rodimus was still slated to be the "jerk" character that Sentinel Prime wound up as?

Spoiler wise, I think its probably supposed to be the way the instructions say, but its a good alternative for people to try out.

He's super awesome. I think Hasbro finally perfected the "broken leg" vehicle storage design that gave me much frustration with cybertron soundwave :p

Rodimus is easily my favorite Animated deluxe. The only QC problem with mine is a fingerprint molded into the plastic on the front bumper which I am guessing was caused by removing the plastic from the mold too soon. Not really a big deal though.

I love the transformation, the colors, just everything. I am so glad he came out and now I am going to pick up the SOC set.

The only thing I am worried about are the hands. They are really small and feel really fragile. I only put his bow in once and I just don't feel comfortable doing it again.

I do the same thing, I think it just looks better and gives arm movement slightly more?

The figure has been floating around for a while - we saw him at Botcon last year as well as this year.

Distribution has been the issue. He's literally been sitting in limbo for going on two years - he was shown complete at Botcon 09.

I do the spoiler sticking straight up transformation (where you leave it in the same notch as in vehicle mode) and then tilt the panel its on slightly back for full arm movement.

    Pros:
    * Looks sleek and relatively kibble-free in either mode.
    * Holds together solidly in both modes.
    * Jointing makes for some good posing capability
    * Kewl weapon.
    * The robot faction symbol is red! (and right-side-up on mine)

    Cons:
    * A little top-heavy, which can be a problem with the smallish feet.
    * Arms pop off too easily at the shoulder (at least on mine, the right one especially) thanks to stiff transformation joints near the ball joints.
    * tall 'upper lip' area on the robot face looks kinda strange in 3 dimensions, though not nearly as bad as some photos make it look.

Overall: I'm wanting to call this the best Hot /Rod/-imus/ Prime toy ever, even with the MP toy upcoming.

My rodimus arms poped of the first time I transformed it. But never has ever since. Also it was the left. Must be a qc thing.

Probably right. I have better luck with the arms now that I have a better understanding of how everything attaches, but that right arm still comes off at the drop of a hat (reminds me of Swoop's head in that sense - one toy's head will stay on solid, another's will pop if you breathe on it.)

My Rodimus' left arm popped off too, during the first transformation. Since learning the transformation "system" for the toy, I could avoid that happening, but it could be a minor problem.

I've never been a fan of Rodimus', but this captures everything great about Animated. Glad I had the opportunity to get him.
