Animated Motormaster Update 6-13: Arm Port and Bio July 15th 2011 Update: Well, i'm gonna be using the Botcon limbs. Because of this new choice, I decided to figure out a way to make them combine modlessly. I did this for two reasons - one, they're expensive figures. normally that wouldn't bother me, but the thought of that possible 3rd party set coming out - this way I could use the limbs both with MY Motormaster, and with the Botcon one. Page 30 has the latest updates as of today.
EDIT: dumping original first post here, real first post will be continuously updated with new stuff. This all started with two things - staring at the little cab from Optimash Prime and seeing Spurt Reynold's Dinotitan. I have been on a combiner kick, and an Animated one as well. I wanted to do something different, so when i started thinking about Motormaster, i didn't want to start from another truck bot. Ani-MM is designed to include parts from Grimlock, Bulkhead, a little bit of Ratchet, and some Activators Optimus. I will be preparing him for combination, but right now i just want to get him done. The other four Stunticons won't be such heavy bashes, but I just wanted to get to work on what i felt would be the most unique of the group, and also would give me the biggest learning curve, as this is my very first heavy bash. Enjoy! first thing i did was remove Bulkhead's forearms, and hollow them out. Then i removed Ratchet's forearms, cut off the flip out magnets, and grinded it down into a thinner shape. then put them back together. A couple errors with a hot knife, but i'll be able to putty them out. then i put them back on the bicep/shoulder area. I had removed the outer torso on grimlock, and put 3 notches on each side to accomodate the attachment of the bulkhead arms. Then i put matching holes on the hinge from bulkhead's arms and in grimlock's back. that gave me a swivel option for the transformation, which made all the difference in the world. I gotta get to work, so i will post the rest tonight. Comments and crits welcome. ------------------------------------------------- thanks guys! there WILL be fusion. i've digipainted 3 of the other 4. lockdown is breakdown, bumblebee is wildrider, jazz is dead end, and prowl is dragstrip. their mods wont be as extensive. thanks for checking this out! lots more wip pics tonight.

i always thought blurr would make good vehicle modes for mirage and dragstrip but what ever nice custom man
I agree. I just think he'd match up better with Lockdown, size-wise. But as for MM, he's coming along really well. I can't wait to see him finished!
My thoughts exactlly! I always have only pictured the Stunticons as Cars. I'm not sure a motorcycle will blind in well with this set. Also (H)i(GH)con I guess our minds are still working on the same wave link.
This is awesome work man, MM is gonna be King of the Road for sure! Just the level of modding involved is outstanding.
I'm not sure how or if it's even possible to make Prowl look like a "Race Car". If that could be done it would sure change my mind on using that mold.
well actually at first it was gonna be two lockdowns for legs, and two blurrs for arms. but blurrs arm mode, while having great articulation, looked incredibly withered. so i dropped that. another piece of inspiration - to me, the dirt digger minicons were like neo stunticons. plus lots of stunts are done onMCs. that along with a better arm mode made prowl the final choice. i feel you guys on using blurr, i really wanted to, but the arm mode just sucked. thanks for your support and interest! it really does motivate me.
Most excellent work on MM! I can't wait to see you complete him, the blending of so many different molds is working sooo well!
hey guys, now i have time for more pics! YAY after finishing the arms, and attaching them to the chest, next up came the legs. first to go were the tail tips. then the feet. Hit a couple snags, a couple gouges, but i'll be able to smooth them out with putty. Then i cut a groove on the legs, to allow the heel to swing further forward to become a footnub, and the back end of the cab. it was important to me that the cab and front wheels had the ability to move around a bit, not be static. i needed the whole thing to move out of the way for when the leg is a thigh. I'm using Activators Prime here. he's been completely disassembled. each leg with its wheels will be used on a leg on grimlock. here's a few mockups. Now that the legs are done, sans feet, it was time to connect the waist down to the waist up. coming up in a bit, i gotta hit the sack. Thanks for all the support, everyone!!
