Technically, if ya think about it, wasn't G1 Galvatron (the toy) a triple-changer? Robot - cannon - hand held weapon?

If so, make him Schitzwing's previous commander, from a specialist unit of MPD-Decepticons* (including Apeface, Octane...), thus explaining and keeping the insanity of the character.

Just please, if he turns up, and a toy is made of him, make him at least Voyager size.

*exploiting mental disorders for comic relief and plot exposition is wrong, though

 

Galvatron maybe is a Megatron clone with G1 Colors.

 

Here's a different twist on the reformatting thing that I think would be cool.

Galvatron is a separate entity from Megatron - perhaps he's the original Decepticon leader. However, he vanishes. Unicron reformats Galvatron's spark into Megatron's body. It's later revealed that Galvatron has two sparks in one body, fighting for control; the utterly insane Galvatron (the dominant spark), and cool, calculating Megatron (fighting to regain dominance of his own body). Eventually, Megatron breaks free, and gets a new, G2 Megatron tank body.

Yeah, that would be sweet.

since the bible there was a concensus that when you declare ownership of something, like Unicron did to Megatron, you change its name for everyone to know its yours, therefore Unicron named him Galvatron.

but i too, am tired of galvatron, IF he does become galvatron, i'd prefer a whole new mold, then i'd be fine with it, if rodimus is in it that is lol

 

The gun mode was never used in the cartoon and only twice in the UK comic, and even then only to be transported around.

With my luck, Animated Galvatron will use the space cannon mode...which should've been used on the Universe Galvatron, dammit.

I think it'd be good if the series had a time-travelling Galvatron from the future for a few episodes (just why he'd go back I havent thought of) and there were hints that Galvatron was Megatron (for example he could say to Megatron "Your future's in good hands or "In a few millennia you'll come to accept me" etc). That way nothing's set in stone, fans can decide what they want and we get an animated Galavtron

Well, if they were to bring in Animated Rodimus/Hot Rod, I wouldn't mind.

For me, Galvatron is Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod's arch-nemesis, while Megatron is the nemesis of Optimus Prime.

However, Optimus Prime already behaves like Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime, so it's rather going to be hard to introduce another not-so-confident leader bot.  

 

From the looks of things so far in the series, I rally don't think Galvatron will be making an appearance. This Megatron doesn't seem to eb the kinda guy who'll just let go of his name, and we'll already have a tank character when Shockwave finally enters the series.

Still, if he did, I'd rather it be a character unrelated to Megs, rather than a reformat.
