Do any of you have any Animated figures in with your Classics / Generations (etc...)? Are there any animated figures that fit in visually with them? I was thinking about picking up some animated figures (more specifically the Dinobots) to stand in with my Classics and got to wondering which other figures look good with them. How about Swindle or Blitzwing? What do you all think?

IMHO the Animated aesthetic doesn't fit with the classics aesthetic at all. I think they should be kept separate.

I have no problem mixing and matching all my TFs.

Classics, TFA, movieverse all pile together as I see fit.

I'd say, if you're picky, Swindle fits quite well. As does Blurr (given how different the TFTM toys were to the original G1s).

Certainly, in dino mode, TFA Grimlock is a fine voyager-size Classics Grimlock.

While I do mix my Animated in with my other TF's, I do it out of limited space and size requirements (I.E. Simply because of his size, I'm forced to put Leader Megatron on my otherwise Autobot-exclusive shelf.).

I wouldn't do it w/ animated. These are the additions to my 'classics' that are from other lines:

    MP Grimlock
    Faith Leader
    Botcon Razorclaw
    Botcon A3
    Botcon Huffer
    Superion + Crossfire Kit
    Bludgeon w/ custom head
    MP3 Soundwave
    G1 Cassettes

^ I haven't tried it yet myself, but he's probably the best Shockwave out there for the purpose besides G1. Swindle I think would work pretty well, as would Arcee and Rodimus.

I love animated but I couldn't agree more. They are the misfits of the tf world when compared to any other line

I love my Animated figures, but they've got their own display.

I do, however, mix in one or two movie line toys into the CHUG display. Mindwipe, Bludgeon, and when they come out, Axor & Banzai.

I might put Brawn in there too, but I never found him on the shelves. :(

I have Arcee in with my Season 3 shelf of CHUG. I was going to put Blurr in there until the announcment of Generations Blurr. Other then that, no one else.

My classics Ark shelf has got the animated dinobots on it. For them, the different aesthetic works. For the rest, not so much. The rest of my animated has it's own shelf.

I personally keep my Animated separate from the rest of my collection due to aesthetic reasons, but its your collection buddy, do what you feel is best.

I loved the Animated cartoon, I consider it to be my favorite of the TF shows. But, I don't really feel like the toys can fit in with any other line. Even the Movieverse or BW seems to fit in better with Classics than Animated does. Which is a shame too, as I really like their take on Wreck-Gar.

They don't really fit, as others have said multiple times, though I do kinda like having Snarl hang out with my Energon Grimlock.

For a time......I considered having everything mixed together but I just didn't like it that much, so now I keep things in a certain way. Uni/Classics go together (including Drift, Gen. Thrust and Botcon Banzitron) and everything else (Alts, G1, RiD etc including WfC).

My CHUG shelf is kept for all G1 inspired toys, so the G1 Universe Classics and things like Drift, Classics Nemesis and Banzaitron.
