I did a search on the boards and the TF Resources section, and I didn't find this, but apologies if this has already been reported.

I recieved Activators Dirge & Cliffjumper today from BBTS, and thought people might be interested to know the bios on the back of their packaging-- particularly Dirge who represents another aspect of Starscream-- his ambition.


DIRGE
Greedy, grasping, and never satisfied, DIRGE always hungers for more. More power. More fuel. More altitude. Whatever it is, DIRGE wants all of it. He's another clone of STARSCREAM who reveals the worst aspect of that fighter ace's ambition-- the inability to ever be content with what he has.

CLIFFJUMPER
Because of his temper, CLIFFJUMPER has never been much of a spy. Even though he works in intelligence, he doesn't interact too much with the enemy. Instead, he collects information from field agents and finds the important bits for his superiors. Of course, knowing everything there is to know about the DECEPTICONS makes him a little tense, which is why he's always ready for a fight.

 

Dirge sounds awesome.

Hope he really gets in the show!

I still wonder why they chose to make dirge when they had all the other actual color schemes that they actually used.

 

Of what-- the bios, the toys? I have a decent enough camera, but it's not nearly as good as a lot of the ones out there, so if you want big, super-detailed pics of the toys, I'm not the one to give 'em to you.

I think Dirge is supposed to be in Season 3.

Well alright.
I was hoping to get these before Christmas but BBTS never had a preorder for the two as a set. I didn't want Bandit Lockdown and I already had Megs and Grimlock.

 

I wonder when we'll see Thrust. There's an animation model of both him and Dirge out there somewhere... It's just a matter of time.

Dirge is supposed to be Envy, while Thrust is supposed to be Gluttony.

I just wish all of the clones were released in the same frickin' size point... I'd collect the Activator ones if I knew they'd ALL be available that way. As it is, I'm not stressing and just not buying any of them.

 

So, Dirge will be an androgynous shapeshifter and Thrust a short fatso?

Huh.

'Kay, so to fill out the clone ranks we still need thrust and acid storm. Wonder if we'll see all them and dirge in season 3 (as well as all clones in Voyager size).

 

This is interesting. Do we think that we will eventually get all the Seekers in Animated(Voyagers) We already have Starscream, Skywarp, and Sunstorm? Missing Thundercracker, Ramjet, Dirge, and Thrust.

The female seeker would have to be a remolded toy, so I'd imagine it'd just be an Activator. I wonder what they would name it, since they can't have two entirely different Ramjets.

 

thats how i would fill it out, maybe with a parenthesis as a second option.

 

1st we are already getting 3 of the 5 existing clones as Voyager repaints so its not too much of a stretch that eventually the other male clones will get this treatment. 2nd Activators dont really count since with the exception of one retool and a couple of repaints the entire activators line consists of smaller cheaper versions of characters who have larger mainline toys, activators isnt mainline just like legends and bumper battles. 3 as such the female would at least need her own deluxe mould to have any hope of representing her. 4 the female Starscreams colours werent based of G2 Ramjet they were based of Overlord and since unlike the other clones where they are based specifically of a G1 characters toy she really isnt restricted with what they call her.

And nothing to do with the quoted post but seriously I hardly think a toy released what a few months ago like Acid Storm is really needing a Seeker homage in Animated especially since they stupidly used a name too simlar to Sunstorm. Finally I think that trying to say that the clones are based of the 7 deadlies simply because of Dirge's bio is a bit of a stretch. Starscream hant ever been portrayed as a glutton or lustful or lazy. Hell in reality Dirges bio covers Envy, Greed and I guess Gluttony all by itself which is not suprising since those 3 are SOOO similar its not funny.

 

Well, we've had Cliffjumper on the resources page for a little while, but Dirge is new. Added that one now!

 

Anyway, about the toy, the mold is still good to go or it's getting a bit loose in Dirge? I like the overly weirdness of the deco and I'd buy it anyday.
