One of the first things I imagined when I saw Animated Prowl was a redeco of Gobots Cy-Kill. Not that I was a big Gobots fan growing, I did like them. Animated Cy-Kill was painted with a mix of Testors and Citadel paints. I haven't actually sealed him just yet but I probably will at some point.

For his head, I cut off Prowl's head wings and sanded down the rest of the facial features. Added a new nose and then painted the rest. Prowl's throwing stars have become Cy-Kills replacement of his signature shoulder wheels. Sorta gives him a meaner, deadlier look.

The only thing I'm not too keen on after the fact is how I did the yellow windows in trying to match the original Cy-Kills three yellow chest bars. If I had clear yellow paint I think that would have looked much better. Oh well, live and learn.

That was from Megatron Origins, when he was a gladiator. He used the awesome energon sword that I prowdly reproduced for my first Megatron custom.

Great custom. Now I want to do one just like it, so my IDW Megatron can impale it with a sword too!:lol

I'm not feeling it. Especially not in bike mode.

Really, Cy-Kill was destined to be an Oil Slick repaint anyway. They even transform the same way.

I'm not following. TF Animated and IDW-verse are completely separate universes :p

Anyhow I like the custom and the placement of the wheel blades. I do agree that a modded Oilslick would have probably fit better

The Gobots show may have sucked, but they had some pretty awesome figures for the time and given good writers I think they can be pretty cool. Love custom, though I see Oil Slick as a better match moldwise.

Wow. Never thought I'd get that wide a range of responses to my Animated Cy-Kill. :p

I'd have to look at Oil Slick a tad closer once I get one. I still find the first comment funny. If we based all our customs on who's dead or not then we'd never see some pretty good figures. (No more Brawn for you!) :lol
