Well, hi there. I'm glad you stopped in. I had an Arcee and I wanted to offer up something for the Ani collectors since that well is running dry. There's a few places I could've taken her, but I had the paint on hand for a Chromia, so that's what we got! I thought about trying to mold the head into the pointy crown, but at the end of the day we have a straight repaint. I was following the G1 color scheme, so I ended up using both silver and white. Often in those old shows it could be questionable if something was white or silver, but it looked like there was a slight difference, so I went with both. I was going for a supah-clean, smooth look to accent the animated style. I wanted the metallics to blend with the rounded, organic lines of the figure and let the highlights speak for themselves via lighting, although you can see a little panel lining was used, including reverse-lining, using the white lines on top of the blue. oh wow thats great! i really dislike animated toys (not lik g1 but i hate them...) but man this looks like a candy, supersweet, superclean and SUPERAWESOME! go on, do elita 1 and other girlys!
Awesome! Have you had any problems with the paint on the ball joints scrapping off and showing the pink underneath?
Pretty cool. I do think it would've been nice to see a new head, but ah well. It'd be cool if you do the other fembots!
