Those purple panels on Ani. Blitzwing's arms that click when they're pressed, what the hell are they for?

 

nothing!!! they are simply there for design and for when transforming it is easier for the other parts to rest on since they overlap those parts of the arms. thats it.

if you transform him they get pressed into his arms so its a clever way to have a bigger arm fit into a smaller area

This. I mean, I even typed Blitzwing Arm Clicky Thingies, and got nothing.

 

The pop-up panels are a great gimmick. They could use them more often for a punch/counterpunch or shockwave/longarm bot to differentiate the bots even more.
