Blackout is really the last mold I need for my Animated Collection. Do you guys think we'll see him released stateside by the end of 2011? If not, I really think I'm going to grab the Takara one. It doesn't have any of that shiny paint, right?
i wasn't going to hold my breath for "ifs" and "whens". just get the Takara one. it's really worth it. and you can save that early stroke for another reason (like your accountant bilked you out of $750,000). and my Takara BO isn't at all shiny. looks fabulous.
the only shiny paint is the red on the shooting disc, even the silver is muted somewhat, if the takara isn't that bad of a price, i say go for it, mine was $50, and i'm happy, still need to find rodimus and ironhide though to complete my collection
It wouldn't surprise me if Hasbro releases Animated Blackout as a TRU exclusive at some point this year or next year, though be my luck I'll end up buying the Takara one.
If you got an extra $50 bucks lying around and you really like the figure, buy the Takara one. Hasbro Blackout is just a giant question mark at this point. I would have gotten Takara Blackout already but he isn't a must have for me.
I got mine for about $38. Granted, I got it a few month ago during a trip to Taiwan, where it's cheaper to import Japanese toys. And of course I didn't go to Taiwan FOR Blackout. But hey, I LOVE Animated Blackout, it's worth my $38, and if you'd like to save shipping costs and were conveniently planning on going to Asia anyway, do not hesitate to buy Blackout.
If you want to have a complete Animated collection I'd just bite the bullet and pay the extra $40ish it'll cost you for the Takara version, but if you just kinda want one and wouldn't be too upset if he doesn't come to the US; skip it. I like mine, but not for the $50+shipping that he's going for.
