Wow really cool! Lots of stuff I didn't expect. Wonder about the statement that it will be the last major free update. Seemed to imply some DLC may come.

Only things I would like that don't appear to be included are a "deluxe" workbench tied to your storage and a way to mass eradicate flowers etc. without having to dig them up one by one.

 

Ya, that DLC being the Happy Home Paradise features for a total of 24.99.

As for the workbench guess the closest is that outdoor sotrage shed that connects to your storage.

This is awesome. I wasn't expecting all of this.

The only things I wish they included were a way to bulk craft items instead of doing it one at a time, and let us relocate resident services.

 

Thinking about it more it seems a bit odd to me that we get a major update and a big DLC drop so close together. Kind of like they wanted to finish everything up so the dev team can move on to other things. I'll be surprised if we get any more DLC. Which is typical for Nintendo, it seems - they do one DLC pack and that's it.

 

They stated that this is last major free update.

I'm thinking at most they'll out in singular item updates like they've done for the past couple of months or just basic fixes updates.

But ya, this seems like the big finale.

 

Excited for everything shown. My only gripe is that I can't add facilities to my island.

My girls were SCREAMING while we watched the video, so much good stuff. The happy home paradise is exactly what my wife has been wanting. I can think of a bunch of little things I still want (LET ME BULK PURCHASE NOOK MILES TICKETS YOU MONSTERS) but all of this will keep us engaged with the game for another year.

The 2.0 update is live. Some streamers I've been watching had to manually update the game, it didn't auto download.

Also, with the update, DIY recipes can now be put in storage.

 

Thats funny about those DIYs because I just threw over hundreds away...

I had to manually update my game because I turned off auto updates. You just never know if they've patched a useful glitch.

On another topic - any tips for getting a flea? That's the last non-art item I need for the museum.

 

Just random, this is the last month to get one before april.

Just if you happen to see a black dot bouncing on your villagers or they say "iiitchy" or the like when talking, they have a flea. Make sure they are facing away from you then use your net on them.

 

Yeah that's why I'm really pushing to get one. I have had "itchy" villagers a while back but at the time I didn't know what you were supposed to do. But haven't had any lately.

Any tricks to getting them to spawn?

Only thing else would be to see if taking other bug spots away would help, like stumps, flowers and trees, but that's a lot of work.
