Am I the only one still waiting for the goddamn golden armor recipe? Playing every single day for 14 months now and nada. I get the golden armor shoes and golden helmet recipes all the damn time.

I don’t know if it’s true but I read in a couple of different places that smug villagers are more likely to give you the golden outfit recipes. I’ve had two smugs for nearly a year (Curlos and Raymond) and while they haven’t given me armor they are who I got the shoes and helmet recipes from.

I'm pretty sure I got the Armor recipe in one of the bottles.

I have the golden armor recipe for you. Actually starting playing again a couple weeks ago and I received my second one. I’m looking for the Pitfall seed or recipe myself, but if you don’t have it, no worries. Just shoot me a pm!

Appreciated! I’m weird this way though- I want it to spawn naturally. I have a friend that comes to my island who has offered the armor and the recipe a few times and offered to make me the robot as well. It’s more the principal of it I guess than really needing to have it, haha.

And yes, the freakin pitfall seed! That’s another one. I didn’t know that existed until recently. I wish I had it, I would have been planting them all over for my wife and daughter to fall into last year when we were all playing regularly. Stupid game. :/

Shoot I didn't realize the pitfall seed recipes were hard to get - I sold at least one duplicate off. I'll let folks know if I get another.

    Fair enough! :thumb
The great thing about the Pitfall seed is apparently you can 'learn' the recipe by digging up a seed yourself. So if you want to share/trade with (or sell to) other players, you can just give them a seed. :D

I had someone move out and went on some Nook Mile tours to look for a new villager. The first two were ones I had already had. They acted like they didn't know me. Cold!:p

That's really neat. I don't any room at all on my island of course but it's really neat. We really need more room on our islands!

I don't think you can have duplicates. These were ones I had previously but then left.

I did think about taking one though - Octavian. I did like him. But I wanted someone new.

From a Doug Bowser interview today about the game.

“While we didn’t talk about it [during the E3 Nintendo Direct], we absolutely have plans going forward to ensure the 33 million people who have islands out there have new and fun activities to engage with,” Bowser says. “Look for more to come.”

That appears to be three customized cutout standees. People have been doing cool things with them. This person made a boat:

The cutout standees are something everyone has, you have to go into your design editor to access them. Instead of placing a design as a shirt or sign or whatever, you can place it as a cutout standee. Part of a recentish update. Also if you want to properly look through the hole from behind you have to tap the action button. Took me a while to figure that out.
