Knoebels - General this is of Knoebel's amusement park I believe in the northeast. THe pics are creepy as the flood did a lot of damage. The train all of its tracks and everything, the carausel damaged beyond repair. Gonna be a while to fix that one.
Not sure, but he might mean that's it's creepy that it could've been a business day, and the premise of what could have happened if it was.
Doesn't seem all that creepy. Then again, maybe I'm comparing it to shots of the Tsunami Flood from when the Earthquake hit Japan, which was naturally a WHOLE lot worse. Although I'm still trying to figure out how the heck this could have happened:
she by the way but I meant creepy in particular the pic of the train off the tracks and that almost post apocalyptic. It's just my opinion is all.
You want a creepy amusement park? Try Six Flags New Orleans: Abandoned Six Flags New Orleans Tour - YouTube Video's taken October 2010. It's been abandoned SIX Years now. Top quote puts it best:
Damn, only saw ten seconds, and already it gives me the willies. It looks like the kinda place you'd expect to see Slender Man...
Knoebels isn't too creepy, I'd know. For some odd reason, I like looking at pictures of abanonded amusement parks and the like. I've see that Six-Flags video before, by the way did they demolish the park yet? I heard they were suppost to.
ok I was just listening to No Prisoners only trophies when I clicked on that youtube video. Now it's really creepy It doesn't look that bad, if someone fixed it up, it by far isn't destroyed. Looks like looters got there first though. The glass from broken doors is still on the ground, if the hurricane did that it would have blew the glass away. The hurricane didn't do all that damage, humans did some of it.
The pipe collar was constructed incorrectly. As pressure built up around the intake, the collar became the weak point instead of the natural opening of the pipe. Once the collar broke even a little, the water and pressure escapes around the pipe and crushes the embankment. Water washes out under the road until the support structure gives way and the road collapses into the newly formed channel. That's how.
It's sad about the amusement park. Especially during the summer when there should be families enjoying it. But there is nothing creepy about it. As for the video. It's the editing that makes it look creepy. Without the music and the way the shots are taken, it's not that bad as it looks.
it's sad for New Orleans as they need some happiness and just leaving that park there to rot instead of someone with a lot of money coming in to clean it up and run it is sad. I know Six Flags doesn't have the money to fix it up but I know someone out there does. They are just leaving it for looters and grafiti "artists" to further damage the place. I do find it amusing that anyone can just waltz in the place.
Aw, man...I think it's more sad than creepy. We had an amusement park in my city, but a record flood destroyed it. The damage was so bad that they leveled the park and put a shopping center there instead. By the looks of it, this one probably won't be saved either, unless they have some killer insurance. I like that idea! Put in the fog machine, let everything rust up real good, and open it as a gamer tourist attraction.
I was thinking they should film a couple eps of The Walking Dead there The Youtube feed claims the park is going to be renovated and reopened in 2012...dunno if that's true or not though...
That looks pretty darn cool. It might have been creepy if it were abandoned, rather than closed for water damage.
