I only started watching this with my kid since the begging of this season. really well done finale.

 

Yeah I saw that post-credits scene after a friend reblogged it on Tumblr and HOLY PRIMUS the onions that were cut…

Man, that final battle was a real showstopper. That instrumental version of No Big Deal playing in the background was the perfect music for it!

Kind of sad that the girls could never return to Amphibia - but hey! I doubt Terri and Dr. Jan just stopped working on that portal tech! Who knows? Maybe someday, they'll be able to see their friends again. After all - true family and friends will always be able to find each other.

Andrias' final fate - living in exile, doing what little he can to heal the land he ravaged - is a fitting end to his character. He couldn't take back everything he'd done, but he can still make amends in whatever small ways were available to him. And with him being a nigh-immortal cyborg, he'll have a lot of time to see to it that Amphibia thrives.

All in all, I'll miss this show, and I hope to see others follow in it's footsteps!

 

Goddamn can’t believe it’s over.

 

OMG no one ever rescued that poor guy abducted by the dragonfly.   Feel bad for the guy but man what a running gag.

 

That whole fight scene was a big mashup of Magic Knight Rayearth and Gunbuster. lol

Marcy, the nerd of the group, having gemstones that just so happen to be green, rounded triangles that look exactly like Peridot's is either absolutely intentional or an amazing coincidence. Their personalities are just similar enough that I'm leaning towards intentional.

 

Well, Matt is apparently friends with Rebecca Sugar, and she did make an animated cameo in the Christmas episode.
There's also a blink and you miss it cameo by a van labeled "Mr. Galaxy" that looks very similar to Greg's Mr. Universe van in one episode. I'd say the reference is probably intentional.

OR she could also be a counselor. In NY the max education needed for a full graduate degree is 8 years. So it's possible she went that route.

Well, things are looking to get crazy for The Owl House.

The CATTs are planning to use Eda's curse to disrupt the Draining Spell, as her corrupted magic will render it non-functional. To do this, Eda got a sigil and is disguised as Raine - she'll be taking their place in the Day of Unity! Raine doesn't seem too happy about this arrangement, though...

Luz and Amity have their first kiss! It was adorable. It was also very well animated - guess we know where a good part of the episode's animation budget went.

Alador finds out the true nature of the Day of Unity - and that Odalia knew all along! She apparently thinks she can secure a place for herself in the new world and be treated like royalty in the human world. Gotta wonder what makes her think Belos will spare anyone, but with an ego like hers, I doubt it even occurs to her. Either way, Alador chose his children over Odalia, so that's great!

Luz got Gus to disguise her as Hunter, so that Kiki would capture her and bring her to Belos. Let's hope she's got a plan this time...

Oh, and Kiki implied that Belos knows about the CATTs and their plan. A spy? A mole? Oh who am I kidding, it's obviously Terra keeping tabs on Raine - and they don't even know it.

The Collector is afraid Belos has been lying to him. Wonder what's gonna come of that...

so lots of fans had a theory this was gonna happen since belos said the titan has plans for him, but with that drop of belos landing on hunter I think he's gonna become belos new vessel.

if he really is in the human world he's probably gonna get mentally screwed when he actually sees how much things have changed.

Belos recognized Flapjack - and uttered the name "Caleb" when he saw him. The fake name Flapjack suggested back in Any Sport In A Storm. So, I guess we know the name of his brother now. Philip and Caleb Wittebane, two brothers lost to the Demon Realm. One found wonder and even love in the Boiling Isles, the other allowed his fear and hate to consume him. Worst of all, Philip has remained convinced for centuries that his actions were justified, that his brother was "bewitched" and likely that he was "too far gone." Tragic, considering the close relationship the brothers had according to the portraits in Belos' mind.
