Did anyone else catch the series preimre of this on FX wednesday night? I liked it alot but I'm kind of worried on how they plan on making a tv show about a house that kills the people that live in it...do they get new people to move in each season or will the current residents learn to survive. The first episode got me hooked so going to have to check out a few more
I would have watched it. I started to watch my DVR recording last night, but Time Warner decided to literally change the channel it was recording on to WE, so I stopped watching right when the woman calls 911 about someone being in her house. I'll have to watch a repeat somehow.
I dug it, so far it's the only new series I'm interested in. Fairly dark and creepy, not cheesy, good camera work, hot filthy redhead maid. And a fucking GHOST gimp. I can't believe some of the shit they can get away with on TV these days.
That sums it up pretty well for me. The little girl with Down Syndrome is creepy too. "If you go in there, you're going to die." *shivers* I'm definitely going to keep the DVR timer for this one!
Yeah I just watched the pilot and the series will now be recorded on DVR. That Alexandra Breckenridge is hawt.
Yes I agree with this 1000%, it caught me off guard the first time they went from showing the older lady to her. And it appears that the maid appears differently to whomever sees her and I would've figured that when the daughter saw them she would've seen something different then the others but it ended up being what her mother saw. The boy that is there for treatment is a ghost I think or some how connected to the house....same thing with the guy with the burnt face
This is one messed up show, which is probably why I watched it.I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of creepy/freaky stuff they come up with because it's off to a good start. When I saw that this show was produced by Ryan Murphy I knew that I had to watch it.I miss his old show Nip/Tuck. So if he's the only one that sees the old housekeeper as this hot, young lady, does that mean that that old bag was actually playing with herself? That is a very disturbing thought.
Man,I'd hate to live in that house, much less that neighborhood. That next door neighbor is a nut-job.I'd love to get the recipe for those cupcakes though.
This show screws with your brain for the entire hour, but the young version of the maid is so hot, I forget all about it. Then I see the real her. No thanks.
Second episode was more enjoyable than the first. Was a little less all over the place, more focused and had a tighter narrative. Pleased that FX is not shying away from the splatter, and allowing it to play a major role in what's going on. I'm going to keep watching.
I wonder if the dad is dead? For all we know the wife killed him and that's why he sees the young maid.
The family being ghosts doesn't make any sense. The daughter goes to school and sees people, the husband went on that trip to see the old girlfriend and sees patients, it just doesn't work. I think the maid, the daughter's "boyfriend", and the burn guy are ghosts. MAYBE the downs girl too, and an even bigger maybe on her mom.
I watched the first two episodes in On Demand. I was surprised about the profanity. I thought FX was like ABC, CBS and NBC.
This is my favorite program on right now. FX isn't an "over-the-air" network so they have more leeway in areas of adult programming.
Wow, episode 3 was pretty good. I like how it showed the maid's bones buried in the yard and with him building the gazebo on top of it she's stuck in the house...but does that mean all the ghost have their bones buried on the properity???? Was shocked with the ending to his little fling.....and was also shocked at how much of a b***h the mom is.
Finally watched the 3rd episode - Good Lord this show is pretty much the freakiest show I've seen yet. I'll admit - I have yet to figure out just WTF is going on with that house. I know the maid's a ghost but that's about it. Like Darkhawk79 said, wasn't expecting the fling to end the way it did - not at ALL. Looks like I may have another show to follow besides Prime and Supernatural...
