Wait, the season is over next week? Is it not 13 episodes? I guess they really did get their budget slashed.
We watched episodes 6-9 this weekend and good god, this show was already pretty bad, but it just got a whole of a hell lot worse. What the hell? Did they just rush this whole thing into production at the last second? No wonder they didn't want to talk about the show at all, they had no idea what the hell they were even going to do. Even my gf, who was loving this season feels it has turned to crap. And then the last episode just pretty much Blair Witch'd the entire thing. Thank the gods there is only one more of this mess left. It makes me want to give Freakshow a second chance becaue episodes 3 and 4 of that were far more terrifying than this entire season has been.
The big season finale and it got no comments? Huh. Must have something to do with the fact that it was a big, steaming pile of shit.
I just got done watching it. I joke not, this is the 3rd time I tried watching it. I get up at 4 am, and the show airs at 10 pm, and my couch is really comfy. Yeah- I keep falling asleep. This last episode was passable as an episode. That's the best I can say about it. Maybe barely passable. This was a crappy season. Just lousy. I don't think I'll partake next season. The bright side: one of my shows is over. Even tho Oak Island is back, I can focus now on Westworld. It too is almost over. Then I can play catch-up on Gotham.
This season was the absolute worst. The showrunners should take a year off, and really work on a great horror concept, before coming back. Or just don't.
The finale was a crapshoot, and that's putting it lightly. The name of the show is, "American HORROR Story". Why in the hell was the finale a cheap, discount imitation of something you'd find on the Investigation channel?
The story was horror fwiw. Those last 4 episodes were more packed than anybody the seasons. I think the downside cane to the story was all over the place.
We finally watched the finale last night and what a crock of shit it was. You know, I might not have been a fan of the style they were doing in the beginning of the show but at least it felt like it had a direction. The last five episodes were all over the place and make Asylum's spastic themes look coherent. Was this season written by people with ADHD? It should have just been six episodes with the first five as they were and then the final episode being a simplified version of what the final episode was, then the season as a whole might have been slightly better. As is, this was a train wreck and they clearly wrote themselves into a corner in the first few episodes with no idea how to come out of it. It makes me want to give Freakshow a second chance because since I made it through this season I'm sure I can make it through that one now. Then again, I'm not sure I want to even bother with this series anymore in general. I'm curious to see if Murphy and gang have anything to say about this season now that it is over. Will they make excuses or will they own up to the fact that the season was utter crap?
