looks like the twist could be Spoiler the actors are the real people, and the people talking are actors
Probably just me, but I can't take this weird psychic guy seriously. Every time I hear him talk, all I can think of is Gideon from Gravity Falls. His voice is spot on.
That guy was like the male version of Zelda's character in the oringal Poltergeist, but far less interesting. That comparison doesn't do them any favors.
He's a little character actor who been around a long time, usually does the funny bits ( Hearts Afire, Will & Grace), not so much serious, but I thought he was pretty good... though I would think charlatan no matter who he was, especially for $25K... holy moly, I'd want somebody who at least seemed like they could take on demons.
What disappoints me after watching the first two episodes is I can tell the series was filmed in California. I wish it was film in either North Carolina or Virginia.
Yeah, this whole season is crying cheap budget. I'm starting to really lose my interest here. I had a hard time staying focused on this week's episode. Can we get to the point already? How the hell is this supposed to last another 9 episodes? I feel like this should be episode 10.
Holely rusted metal, batman. I agree with you Kain. And while I thought the interview thing was neat at first, I think it just hasn't worked well. First it takes all the drama out of the fates of thr main characters and more and more it just pulls me out of the story. And the ghosts/haunting aspect just feels overused at this point. Really wish they had just done a pure story of Roanoke set during the time of the colony.
This is just another classic Ryan Murphy "I've run out of ideas but I'm going to keep putting crap out there for people to watch" TV show.
I have to agree, I came in to see if anything was seriously spoiler-rific and was going to try and stay awake to watch the episode if so... I've tried twice and fell asleep both times!!! Spoiler The only thing I remember "the disembowelment" That was a "we're desperate, gotta make it gross and outrageous" moment for sure.
Just watched the yesterday's ep On Demand, they kinda redeemed themselves with this one... liked the back story of the original builder and what happened there, (was that lady supposed to be woman from the Conjuring movies, the RL one?) She kinda reminded of her from what I've seen in interviews. Anyway, the pig farm folks were even more way out there... Spoiler cannibals and the poor Elias/Elliot? guy was paying the price...after removing the arrows from his chest Looks like they made it a hotel, nightmares and all... is that the end of this series??? OD isn't good about showing a preview of the next ep. NVM, just found ep 6.
So when are we actually going to get to the horror part of this season? The only thing that's been scary so far is a lot of bad acting.
I guess next episode is supposed to be the big twist. So, Murder House is connected to Hotel, which is connected to Coven. Freak Show is connected to Asylum, and now Roanoke. So what connects these (2) groups of 3 seasons together? Is it the word 'Croatoan'- which is mentioned this season and also in S1? Is is the Roanoke mystery that was also explained here and mentioned in Murder House? If so then Roanoke connects to Freak show and Asylum; Roanoke also connects to Murder House, which connects to Hotel, which is also connected to Coven.
I have no idea, but all your connections made me thing of: toe bone connected to the foot bone, foot bone connected to the ankle bone, ankle bone connected to the leg bone....
Watched this week's episode and it started out so great and then went downhill from there. I really liked the stuff with Evan Peters and felt the entire episode should have just been on him. Well, I could do without the forced gay romance (seriously, it's starting to feel like they are doing it just for the sake of it at this point), but nevertheless, I was enjoying this aspect. And then we went right back to the family after 10 minutes, and it was so stupid. Oh look, a cannibal family, how original. I really hope next week things change on a massive level because this felt like it should have been THE END. How is Freak Show connected to Asylum?
Pepper. She was a part of the Carnival when Elsa took her to live with her sister, who checked her into the Asylum. That, and a doctor at the asylum was also involved in cutting off Elsa's legs in a snuff film years before.
