    Never mind. It doesn't matter.

I think that's a very fair thing to hope for!
Ok, roll with me on this. In the hypothetical scenario that we're getting a single Pretender in every price point up to Commander, and Thunderwing is Commander, then who would get the Leader slot?

I haven't unfortunately, it was too far in the future before my friend left Hasbro.

Personal speculation, and based primarily on the use of code names rather than character names.

Very possible there's no gimmicks this year.
(Unless the dual core/deluxe theory or armour idea turns out true, that'd be kind of a gimmick)

Awesome news that they're doing proper targetmasters again. :D
With Crankcase and another stunticon this is looking like a cracking wave already.
If they do something really cool with Skullgrin I could well be interested in him too.

The Energon Weapons are likely the gimmick for this year.

Dunno about Leader, but it’d be pretty neat if that upcoming Voyager Tarn has a mask feature that’s then used on a Bludgeon retool to go from classic skull face to one of his more modern faces.

So how long before In Demand Toys puts these guys and SG Soundwave up on Facebook? We have less than a week till the panel so I’m expecting one more product reveal via an online retailer’s social media postings!

Probably as soon as they have the photos, given their recent pattern.

Haha yeah I know. I was mostly kidding but I’m sure it must annoy Hasbro US marketing that retailers are blowing stuff open that hasn’t been leaked yet and right before the SDCC panel.

I dunno if we can blame the retailers totally, especially if they are in fact being handed said photos BY their resident arm of Hasbro but not told the right embargo date, or perhaps even that they are under an embargo (InDemand Toys Creatures Collide kerfuffle come to mind).

Who's blaming? If mom says I can't have ice cream before dinner and dad serves me up a three-scoop bowl of rocky road, I'm going to scarf it down!

And I don't care much if mom is annoyed at dad about it!

Yup I don’t blame them but I’m sure there’s been some angry email exchanges between some different units at Hasbro. I know that there is a contingent of fans who only want to see things revealed at panels/livestreams/etc but I’ll take my reveals however they come. More a comment on the bad timing for Hasbro US and maybe I should have been more explicit about the weird breakdown between Hasbro and Hasbro UK.

If it’s not a proper Bludgeon then may God have mercy on Hasbro’s soul, because the outcry will be immediate, loud, shrill, and not over soon.

My kids pull this shit all the time and I basically have it down to a science to say what did your mother say and pin them out.

honestly In Demand and other retailers are just trying to make money and Hasbro doesn’t have its shit together.

I want robot toys and not picky about how I see them or learn about them.

The thing that irks me about the early leaks etc it takes away from the wow of seeing them personally but also it makes it feel like an age between us knowing and us getting them, which before so many leaks, early reviews etc it didnt feel as long between.....hell we know some of next years already which makes it seem even further away compared to if for instance they told us at SDCC then released a month or so later its feels like less of a bloody wait, which is why they space the reveals out. Thats what the GI Joe team need to learn as they announce things and it takes ages to come out ie Spirit etc were shown at Pulsecon in Oct and now they are finally showing up, hell still not hit some places.....but I digress.

I love knowing about stuff but now just seems forever between knowing and seeing......let alone being able to buy the damn thing.

I am hopeful that Pointblank will be a new mold, but my better judgment is afraid it will be a retool of Dragstrip.
