This and the Munsters Coach are still on my Collaboration wish list.
Whats up with those Amazon two packs? The BW Grimlock and earthmode autobots?
Heard something about Sideswipe and Night prowler now instead of Silverbolt/Skywarp from Airazor? Or is those two things separate sets?
Castlevania turns 35 this year if I'm reading things right.
The two packs were Sideswipe/Grimlock and Mirage/Skywarp. It has been changed to Sideswipe/Night Prowler. Speculation is that they did it to keep both sets the same price (presumably $40). I am guessing BW Grimlock gets released elsewhere.
I see tell more i need to learn more lol....
Ohh exactly same of my goal list yes but there is something missing... hmm that is it ah yes tarantulas that one are missing and what else?
Ah yes inferno the ant.
Shadow panther is part of ravage correct, yes?
Is there more good shattered glass decepticons?
I think Shadow Panther was treated as Ravage in the early 2000's but he is also been treated as a separate character. I like to think of him as Ravage since that gives the S1 Predacon toyline their own Great War veteran to oppose Grimlock.
Shadow Panther is not Ravage and as far as I'm aware there has never been anything official stating them to be the same character
but does it Dig through the Ditches or Burn through the Witches?
I prefer to think both Shadow Panther and BW Grimlock as their own characters and maybe just "inspired" by previous similar incarnations.
BW Grimlock's bio card firmly establishes him as the G1 character
Wonder if he's going to slide in to the Golden Disk collection.
Though, keeping both sets the same price seems odd since the GO sets were all over the place.
And by this point both he and the Magnaboss trio have been pretty much locked in as their G1 counterparts.
Iirc the original was a head nod towards Ravage but they had copyright issues with the name, it was just a pretty straight redeco instead of a retool so it looked nothing like Ravage, etc. Since then he evolved so far as a different character that you really can't say they are more similar than any other homage.
The original, which was a Takara exclusive, was established as separate from Ravage via a manga if I am not mistaken (I recall something having them working together but can't remember what it was). Takara never intended them to be the same guy. When Hasbro imported the figure through Hasbrotoycollector.com they called it Tripredacus Agent as a nod to ravage, this name was also shared by the TM2 Walmart exclusive figure that was explicitly Ravage, however this name does not make them the same character as it is more of a title or position rather than a name.
Missed the part where I said "I prefer to".
Ahh, my Americanism is showing. I knew the Hasbro version, but not takara tomys. Either way, the point remains that whatever the origins, they are separate characters. I do appreciate the extra knowledge, bud!
Not a problem it's one of those semi obscure things from the beast era that gets overlooked a lot
Wouldn't it be nice if all TFW boards operated this way? Two people with a minor miscommunication discuss it over 3 or 4 posts and resolve it rather than like 16 pages?
would be nice. I'll admit, I get wrapped up in those off topic rambling debates from time to time, but I'm trying to learn to back off when it's apparent that neither side will come to any sort of agreement
Separate names with a comma.
