Little disappointed it says "Academy" but it's all G1 and OG Rescue Bots. More so because my son recognizes Whirl, Hot Shot, etc more than Chase and Heatwave.

That was my initial thought. The more Whirl and Hot Shot, the better. I’m sure I’ll still get it, though. Nieces and nephews like seeing the Rescue Bots when they come over.

Where's Prime's bot mode pic? Other then the box pic it'd be nice to see the up & close paint differences from the last version of this mold. Which I do have but I think it's got yellow ugly paint splotched on and packaging doesn't really tell you as much as pic of the actual product.

    Seems expensive though tbh

That's pretty good.. When I was a younger tyke I would have enjoyed getting that for Christmas... I mean pity Transformers didn't exist at the time I was that age -.- But still, I think I would have dug it.

We really need more drag racer themed transformers in mainline releases.

That Prime is solid, like really good for smashing stuff. And the trailer is easily built and disassembled, my son has been using the different parts as swords and shuriken even. Highly recommended.

It's cool to see dragster alt-modes but as a toy aimed at pre-schoolers fine I guess? I'm not sure I'd want to spend this much but I really don't know if this is a normal price for toys in this catagory.

The "clean" (no stickers, no blue paint apps) version of the Optimus Prime was previously available as a Kohl's exclusive in 2017 (photo courtesy of eBay):

It seems that a lot of people, though, myself included until recently, weren't aware that the Kohl's exclusive existed (Kohl's exclusives tend to go under the radar). And with the price of the Kohl's version now kicking around $100 on eBay (I got mine for $40 on eBay back in February), this will be a great alternative for those interested in getting the non-stickered up, non-blue paint version of him at a much better price.

In essence you aren't wrong, but with the reprolabels, and some paint it looks much better.

Is it me or does Jeep Bumblebee remind me of ROTF Dune Runner in terms of alt-modes?
