Surprised when this shipped when it did.

I’m happy to finally have Punch/Counterpunch. I missed it last time, and this is a grail character / figure of mine.

After checking things out I’ll be putting Barricade up for sale. $20 USD, shipping extra.

Yeah, I mostly got it for P/CP, but I also missed the Siege Barricade (whose deco I honestly still prefer. That deep translucent and metallic purple looked gorgeous in the photos I saw) so it was kind of a no brainer for me to get this set.

 

It’s an okay set. I like earthmode Barricade and P/CP fits with my Headmasters characters. but would have preferred a Targetmaster like Sureshot.

 

Now, if any of you boys are feeling adventurous enough, may wanna attempt putting that Nightbeat head which we'd gotten in TR onto this?

I would love to take a look at that.

what's the story on Nightbeat & Punch/Counterpunch? I heard their the same character but how? I also heard in one of the continuities he's a Wrecker too.

 

I don't believe P/CP and Nightbeat have ever been the same character - a lot of people just think the new color scheme on Galactic Odyssey P/CP makes him look like Nightbeat.

 

Punch in the Kreo line was name nightbeat for no good reason, although I think that's as far as the connections between those two go.

 

Interesting. Trademark reasons, I would guess.

 

What are those two small posts on the tail of that car for? Seems like there should have been a spoiler, but not seeing that accessory in the previous release either.

I actually like this set, but a child would break these toys easily. I had to be careful and use my plastic spudger to help with the transformations.

Also, am I the only one changing the head on Barricade? I'm using that Steamshield head based on the Cyberverse design. I already sanded the balljoint down to be compatible and just need to wait for the humidity to lower so I can spray paint the head....

I mean, i stand on other peoples cars while they drive and I only lost three teeth so far, That's, like, 6 hours of walmart danger, tops. it could go either way.

New release is my CP. P is the original release (more paint apps). And yup! I also adhere to the colors change with personality or else his "deep cover" persona is blown!

 

Got mine in today, pretty cool set. Wish Barricade had a unique head, but besides that, I don't really have any complaints.
