I wouldn't mind having that statue, but whether I want to drop $80 will depend on how well I like AoE when I see it this weekend.

They've probably been talking about it for a few months now. Takes a lot of planning behind the scenes.

Preordered. I'm willing to show any support for the movie Bay finally did right. TFs that make up 80% of the movie, no outrageously shit humor, and an actual lead up to a sequel, among many other things.

I'm even breaking my "no statueshit" rule, not to mentions they're not in scale with each other. I can always cancel the preorder later and pick a statue up on eBay too.

They're probably banking on people paying for this BEFORE they see the movie, and decide they never want a physical copy to exist in their homes.

No mention of the statue's materials. Is it shitty PVC? Is it cold-cast porcelain? The materials from which it is constructed will determine whether or not I buy it.

It looks really nice, I'll give it that, but I need to know what it's made out of before spending that much money.

pre-ordered. i assume this is PVC since cold cast will be a lot more expensive for a statue this big. I have the Jurassic Park CE statue and it looks pretty nice.

It's an easy pass for me if that's the case. The bluray will be available for $20 within a few weeks of its release, making $60 the price of the statue. That is way too much for a cheap hunk of PVC plastic.

Grrr. Amazon.co.uk has both the Blu Ray and 3D Blu Ray listed (not for pre-order yet but you can sign up to be notified when they're available) but no version with a statue. Seems this will be the only way we'll get a decent representation of Optimus riding Grimlock too...

The preorder for the regular blu-ray is already $20. :)

I wish the $80 set at least comes with 3D. Now I have to spend (assuming) another $25 for the 3D set.

I pre-ordered it because I'm a sucker for swag. Besides, if I decide later I don't want it, it's easy to cancel.

Walmart sells dvd/bluray preorders well before movies even come out in theaters.

That's pretty cool, and kinda tempting for just the statue. I would love to see something like this made for the new TMNT movie. Maybe have a statue of Raph. That would be a must-have.
