People can call me a ''G1 fanboy'' blah blah blah, but I personally didn't like the music they chose for the movies. Score OR soundtrack.

I personally am sick of the orchestrated music that is in EVERY single movie nowadays, and has been for a while. Look at something like underworld, EVERY song was in the movie that was on the soundtrack, and none were orchestra based.

Danny lohner and Maynard James keenan of Tool did that score.

And this is not to say that I want Tool to do the score for Transformers. But Linkin Park? Paramore? The Used? That screams Twilight more than transformers.

Why not get Dicola back? Add some guitarists and let them do what they do. Not saying, again, that hair metal should be all over it, but I just didn't like the soundtrack. It had its moments, but not many

I have a feeling I'll be alone here, but I'm just curious

I love the scores for the films and I love the choice of tracks by Linkin Park to represent the film.

I think that the linkin park songs kinda ruined the emotion of the first 2 movies.

I prefer orchestrated music over loud annoying Rock music.

Linkin Park really fit for me (then again I love their music lol) but the scores are probably the best I've heard from any movie!

    Scores, LOVE them.

Soundtracks, meh. Only one I really liked was the ROTF one. The other two are okay.

The music definitely isn't my bag, but it sorta works for what they did, I thought. It's good enough for a Michael Bay movie at any rate.

The orchestrated music provides a much more cinematic feel to the movie and can make a scene much more emotional. If I watch Underworld, it's probably because I'm bored on the weekend or something.

What the hell do you mean "nowadays"? Orchestrated music in film has been around forever, dude.

Not saying that is wasn't, I meant that theres no variety anymore, its ALL orchestrated, The 80s has synth/rock/hair metal, the 2000s seem ALL to be orchestration pieces and they very rarely sound different to me.

I like DOTMs Score but the Soundtrack sucked in my opinion. And even tho the DOTM Score was good (not great) I still feel that the first movie's score was the best and ROTFs score was darker than DOTMs.
