Am I the only one that really wants Bay to carry on with the Transformers franchise?!

I understand he isn't perfect, but it would be sad to see him leave! He is the reason why I love transformers, I love his action scenes! All he needs to do is get a strong writer to write a strong story that can sort these plot holes out.

I know he can do it, and it would be great if he finished what he started.

I don't give a shit if "haters" will cry and moan, they need to learn to go away and ignore the films. They're the pathetic ones, not Bay.

I'm probably in the minority, but I want Bay to stay :)

You're not alone man! Bay is literally the one who got me onto Transformers. If it weren't for how the first movie was made, I wouldn't have made this account in 2012. I love how he shoots the action scenes. They just need to get back the writer for Transformers 1 and problem solved.

Nope. I'm in. So are a bunch of people, but the ones who aren't will cry fowl the louder. It's part of the nature of disliking something. Those who enjoy is simply STFU and enjoy it. Those who hate it want the world to know why they do, and in some cases, convince the world to think like them.

So you are definitely not the only one. But more people will post here that the "DON'T".

The new movie ain't perfect, but it's heading towards better things, so I'm on board with that.

Absolutely!! Despite the mistakes in the original trilogy, it definitely looks like Bay is improving with each movie starting with DOTM. Can't wait to see what TF5 brings us.

    Like me.

I don't want him to stay anymore. I'm tired of seeing the same stuff over and over again.

I'm on the fence on this.

While half of me likes Bay and wouldn't mind him continuing on, the other half would love to see what new ideas a new director could bring to the table.

nope film god steven spielberg and all his genius also wants bay to direct.

i dont think people realize how drastically different the films would be without bay and whether you like his style or not to change in the middle of a series would be silly.

    bay all the way

o ya and mr. jablonsky as well..music is key as well..it's funny..most of the time actors are interchangeable but the director & the score..you need that.

Here's the thing: the director of a movie never comes into play for me. Subject matter and actors involved are what interests me.

I can see the case for Bay needing to stay and I can see the case for him needing to go.

Never thought I'd disagree with Tuna...

I mean, sure, you see the same stuff. Of course. But just ask yourself, what if they get a new, better writer?

Bay needs to stay. I love his movies; each one gets better and better. He is the one that knows best where AOE was leading with all the cliffhangers, so he should continue it. When people go see a Bay movie, they know what to expect. They also obviously like it as well, as the profits keep increasing each time.

Well, then wake me up when that happens.

Honestly, AOE showed me the true face of these movies and for the first time, I completely agree with critics. It was unnecessarily long, loud, chaotic, third act action wasn't enjoyable. Plot was all over the place, and I just stopped caring at some point. And honestly I feel sad when people say it's better than the previous ones while they were much more well made and they worked. And it showed that more robot screentime doesn't solve anything, at all. So many people are fooled by that.

I need to change my sig and all.

He's had 4 films. Is it so bad to want to see how someone else would handle it?

I love his movies, and would be fine with him staying.

But if someone else comes in, so be it.

    I'll be happy either way.

What if he had a co-director then?

No. This will never ever ever ever never ever ever happen and people need to stop suggesting it.

50/50 on this.. I'd like MB to finish the trilogy but at the same time would like to see someone new come in.

    I'd prefer either:
    - TF5 with Michael Bay and a new writer. (prefer this more)
    - TF5 with a new director but Michael Bay stays as a co-director, maybe? and a new writer.

They definitely need a new writer though IMO.

No dude you're not alone! I get used to critics and haters blaming but without Michael Bay Transformers couldn't be and cannot be. Sometimes I think that Michael Bay is like a God for TFs and only his mind can birth them absolutely as they are! Many years ago Spielberg (he's a wise man)said that only Bay can film Transformers!
