Keep him and customise him. He'd make a cool General Lee. :D  You can leave him in car mode most of the time and noone will notice his two right arms.

No, it is a mistake, get the proper one. Somthing like that would bug the hell out of me. Do it with no regrets.

Oh, you feel bad for the figure? :lol  I figured you meant you were sorry for someone stuck with the bad Downshift. All I can say is, at least he'd "remember" the wonderful brief time in your hands. :p

Keep him, and call him "Righty".

Then buy some Decepicon stickers and apply them over the Autobot symbols. Now he is Downshift's evil twin.

Weird, a lot missing their headlights, mine's got no left eye, and now we have one with two right arms? How many malformed Downshifts are there??

Return it. If it's already opened and defective, they cannot put it back out on the sales floor.

THe only thing that may (or may not be a drawback) it that you may only be able to get store credit for it.

If I'd gotten one I'd exchange it. But I can't even find a crippled one, so finding one to exchange it with would be even more impossible.

I've got the perfect resolution to the problem: Send it to me, and you won't have to worry about it anymore.

I can't help but wonder if Downshift was assembled in that 'bad' Chinese factory we hear about. Of the two Downshifts I got, one was missing a screw that held on one of the car taillights, and the other was missing a screw in one of the missile launchers. Neither is a big deal, but combined with the other reports of mistakes or missing parts, it kinda paints a picture. Too bad such a cool toy gets nailed with below-average QC.

I don't think you're any more unstable than me, for what it's worth. I try to make sure that my TFs are "comfortable" on my display shelves. Plus, I almost never sell or give away TFs, because I'm afraid of where they might end up. Actually, I place a lot of sentimental value in most everything I have; I don't know what I'll do when my truck needs to be replaced.

Hang in there, and don't do anything crazy.

Smash it with a hammer and then burn the rest. Be sure to take pics of the process.
