I know someone originally posted about robotkingdom having a preorder up, but I haven't seen anything in terms of North American reports. Anyway not sure when it was put up, but TFsource has a listing slated to be released in March.
It also says store exclusive, not sure if they mean it's exclusive to a store in Japan or TFsource is selling this exclusively.

Thanks for the heads-up; I don't have the original and this is just too cool to pass. Now to decide if I want to invest in a Nemesis Prime to go with it...

 

So it comes with Nemesis Prime? I thought it came with Darkness Megatron?

 

My understanding is it's matched to Darkness Megatron, but not coming with either. The Nemesis Prime thing is the Japanese draw rather than the release, unless TFSource knows something I don't. Which is likely since I don't have the sources like they do.

This is confusing. Takara's website says this is a contest prize, not a store exclusive. Contest prizes aren't usually this widespread. Though, we DID see a teaser page earlier for a store-exclusive "Darkness Unicron"... Maybe some wire is getting crossed somewhere between the two?

 

Nightmare Unicron looks pretty awesome.

 

Must........resist........urge.........to purchase. I already have the original, but black repaints are a weakness.

That's pretty much why I didn't throw this in with the original thread. I can't read Japanese text so Takara's site is a mystery to me. Plus I remember someone said there was some version that was a prize, but that there was also a store exclusive version or something to that effect.

Given this slated for march still plenty of time for them to put one up.
