Some dope engineering there. i really like the lower half.
if it wasn't Starscream, and a $50 glorified deluxe, i might be slightly interested.

That said, that head? I'd suggest killing it with fire but i'm not sure that'd do the trick. Sulfuric acid maybe???

I think the car mode looks excellent, and the robot mode, just not the head. That face, especially the ridiculous bug eyes, are unfortunate. Skywarp's headsculpt is just fine, and I wish they'd have used that for both characters.

I appreciate the time & engineering that's gone into this but that thing just doesn't make me wanna take my wallet out. This needs to go back to the drawing board...

I wanted to like this, I really did, but it has a face only a mother could love and a pretty ropey body.

I'm going to go wash my eyeballs now...

Robot and alternate mode are both amazing, and I dig Starscream's new identity.
Oh but his face...don't mean to make a morbid remark, but his face looks like poor Michael Jackson's face :-(

Like a lot of other people here I really wanted to like this, but theres no way! While they succeeded in giving a car a robot mode that looks like a seeker, it looks more like a mutant insecticon then Starscream. If you're going to have a fake hood, just drop it and do something for the figure to make it look better. I'll get these when they're being clearanced for $35.

Yeah, this is easily the weakest looking mold of the Alternity line so far, it just looks weird and unappealing. Not digging the rather bulky back kibble either.

i should slap myself for saying this, but why can't he be more like Drift?
at least put some colorful Kanji (in SS's red and blue colors) to break up the white chocolate here.

the face isn't a deal breaker for me as much as this thing being to pricey for a carved bar of Ivory soap.

i like some of the nods to his jet mode, but it isn't enough to put in an order for it.

love the alt mode- that car is smokin'. wish i had one in my driveway.

Looks good, although for that price it could use some more paint.

Hmm...If I get this now, then I'm going to have to get an Alternity Megatron and Bumblebee as well.

But if I wait, I might be able to get it cheaper eventually.

    Quite a conundrum.

Am I the only one who thinks he looks kinda girly? Maybe it's the big eyes.

I'm tempted to get him for a fembot repaint. Slipstream would be the obvious one. But unfortunately I'm way too cheap to pay $60 for a deluxe.

Looking awesome and color scheme is spot on. I really like the wings. The four-eyed look is strange, but isn't that jarring, for me.

The Alternity line has to maintain a stock color on the car it's based on. No varying from that standard.

I'm not sure why people are comparing them to Deluxes. Sure the size is about the same, but the design work and number of parts in the figures far exceed any Deluxe figure.

False chest and an ugly hood on the alt-mode are the big downers.

Still going to get it. And any seeker repaints. Can't have missing figures in the "set" and all.

I think his bot mode look is heavily based on generic shaman images Japanese people have (white robe, beads on chest etc) and considering many of those shamans are female, it's understandable.

I like them both, can't wait for mine :)

The build quality and materials might exceed current standards for Deluxes, but besides the increased vehicle mode authenticity, I don't really see an appreciable difference in the engineering or number of parts. Especially in the TFTM and ROTF lines, we've seen a lot more intricacy in the Deluxe class. Materials aside, this is not looking like much of a step up design-wise from recent Hasbro mass-market deluxes.
