this is the year of rodimus. That being said, I think takara missed a great oppurtinity by not making an alternity roddy. I would have loved to see this happen. Is alternity just Japanese cars? If so, what car would he be? I'm out of touch with my Japanese sports cars. * runs to PS3 and throws in GT4*
That would have been overkill, imo. Especially since the Alt line/Kissplay used Rodimus. MP is fine with me along with Classics, Animated and the repaints.
I would totally buy an Alternity Hot Rod. No one is complaining that Prime is being done in all the TF lines known to mankind, so why not an extra mold for Roddy?
I'd be happy with any Alternity I don't know much about sporty cars, but Lexus (Toyota) LFA looks cool enough.... a bit too round though. I just pulled it out of google
It would be a good idea, but I don't think they want to overkill us on Rodimus though. They already have 4 releases within a year. All Alternity are Japanese cars FYI. Randy
Depends on how they pull of Alternity Hot Rod. I bought Convoy and Megatron. But really didn't like the bumblebee/cliffjumper and the seekers so I skipped them over. I think Takara needs to stop the alternity line for a year and re-think their designs. You can find bumblebee discounted for $37 from ToyNK and black megatron for $37 at other places. I expect to see more of the line discounted.
I have to say, I am enjoying the line, but yes after only 4 molds I'm already getting burned out on it and really don't care if more come or not. I really like the way they're made (and I'll probably keep buying them as they come out), but there's just something about them that isn't getting under my skin the way the best of the BT, MP and movie line have. That being said, I do really, really, really like my silver Convoy.
Let's face it, Hot Rod belongs to American car models better, muscle, flames, etc. Alternity sticks with Japanese cars and real life paint jobs.
^This. What Powersa and ILD said. But Rodimus needs to be a American Muscle car, if anything. But i'd love to see them do an American Car for the Alternity line. Rodimus would be wicked. Now if they can do a Alternity Slipstream, I would buy that in a heartbeat,
I'd be interested. I have no problem with them flooding the market with all kinds of rodimus figures. A new deluxe for generations would be nice as well.
No, they need to do Alternity Galvatron. Then let HIM try to get his head around all of his varied existences, cause I sure can't manage it!
I'd say that is pretty good evidence for Rodimus Convoy - whose function was Protector after all - to eventually show up in the Alternity fiction. Though he might be the Masterpiece, just like Ultra Magnus' appearance in the Binaltech story, or Starscream's second appearance in Kissplayers. I also support Galvatron for Alternity, but not right now. Soundwave would be a better first choice I think.
I can see Rodmus as a sleek sports car over an American muscle car. Given the character's current prominence in Japanese lines, I bet he'll show up in Alternity sooner rather than later.
