A couple of questions: 1.) What non-Alternity figures share the Alternity aesthetic? Which non-Alternity figures could reasonably pass for Alternity? 2.) Just how powerful are the Alternity? What are they capable of, and what are the limits of their abilities?
O... K... 1) This is a tough one. On the one hand you could say they're like deluxe sized Alternators/Binaltechs. Then again, they tend to look a lot more intricate and complex than the Alts in my opinion. Honestly, the Alternitys are an aesthetic all on their own. 2) Now this is even more complicated. Easy answer: they essentially have demigod like powers. They're dimension hoppers who deal with issues relating to the very fabric of the rifts dividing the multiverse. Yeah, its just as complex as it sounds.
1. Maybe the RiD brothers as they are about the same scale and have real world altmodes but don't have anything near the detail and their designs are a bit less refined then alternity. Their car modes are also some what more wacky in the colour department (maybe a good kit bash could solve this?) 2. basically they can time travel (yet cant go back past 2005 with out a body), exist at multiple points of time in multiple dimensions (all at the same time) and their true forms are bigger then most galaxys... and that's just what they have in common each one then has some rather crazy powers like prime being able to shot back in time and Megatrons gyro crotch and swords that can cut time,space and change size..... basically they are demigods as ECR pointed out. But it seems only the silver Convoy and Blue Megatron are true alternity (this is post megatron merging with the hytherion beast) all the recolours and other transformers are just normal bots who have been given powers and new body's with near the same power as alternity
None. Alternators if they could be shrunk down, but that's pretty much it. They also have to have car modes to boot. If you want to get extremely technical, then Alternity Cliffjumper. He's not a member of the Alternity, he just works with them. They are beyond insanely powerful. They can destroy a universe with a regular shot. They traverse time and space with the ease that you breathe. They can alter the nature of the universe to suit them, from remaking the entire plane of reality into a giant gameboard to twisting the very flow of time into a weapon. They can attack someone from several dimensions away and can even localize alterations to existence. If they must destroy a lesser being, then they usually remove them from having ever existed in the first place. Alternity Bumblebee removed the Z-axis from some regular non-alternity Decepticons that were in his way during one of his investigations and then stepped right over them when they tried to get in his way. A cthuluesque monster that eats entire space-time realities was destroyed by them at one point with them while not even being in the same time or dimension. One of their agents and not a member of the Alternity told them it was there and they shot and killed it from where they were. If that's not enough, they officially view Unicron, Primus, and the like to be such extremely small potatoes as to be uninteresting and nothing they do to be of note or real consequence.
The designs are fairly unique. *nods* I was kind of thinking that if you took ROTF "Cannon" Bumblebee, and replaced his head with WFC Bee's, it would be kind of close... (Out of curiosity, if you did do that would he still be able to Transform? I don't have either figure so I can't try it.) Also, maybe it's just me but deluxe movie Jazz could almost pass. His arms/hands and head are a little too off... but his car-hood chest and Gundam-esque legs are similar. (IMO) Holy crap.
