    Unfortunately, my Ricochet does have a white nose :(  Oh well, them's the breaks, and seriously, it's something I can live with.

    If anyone's that intent on finding a gold nose (have we seen any legitimate pictures yet, even?), you might try avoiding Ricochets with a date code of 53411, hopefully that helps.

    Thanks for the help, Aberration. Hopefully, this is like Energon Optimus, where there was a stamped code on the box that could help us figure which version's which.

    ...so if you're a flame-deco completionist, will you need both the gold and white nose versions? :D

    Ricochet and Rollbar have shown up in NE Penna. Walmart in Wilkes-Barre had two of each.

    It's not just E-Optimus, but every Transformer (and maybe even every Hasbro toy, I'm not sure) has that 5-digit date code on the package. I suppose we don't talk about it much though, since Energon Optimus was probably the last TF with a notable variation.

    And nah, I won't be scrounging around for a gold-nose Ricochet. I don't take completionism to fanatical levels, it's just one of every figure I need. It's cheaper that way, and I've never really seen a variant that's stood out enough for me to justify buying anything twice ;)
