"Front wheel drive is for sissies!"

Wow. THem Autobots are getting hardcore now. Still its cool we're getting these now. Yeah, "repaints suck" but its kinda cool getting a steady stream of new figures.

Aaaaaaand Razerwire in the lead as the bidding comes down the stretch. ;-)

J/p. Think I'm going to pass on this unless it's clearanced. Not trying to be a completist with Alts.

You know what have been cool? If Hasbro got the remolded Smokescreen for this mold or atleast added an incentive like maybe those shoulder cannons that came with the 04 verison of Smokescreen? I still might get this anyway.

Remolded Smokescreen was a 2004 rally model. Makes absolutely no sense to release it as a street car in 2006.

Somewhat interested in Ricochet; but I'll have to pass on Rollbar.... Why oh why did they not give him a black paint job and call him Trailbreaker? Is it a copyright issue; if so, they could have called him T-Breaker (yeah, it's lame but so is SILVERstreak...). Or is Jeep not wanting their product to be black, as opposed to green, yellow, and orange. :peoples:

If that is the case...why does it makes sense to release the older 2003 version as one? They should have used the wrx sTi they used to bt* Alert....that would have made the most sense....to me anyway.

Agreed... it doesn't make any sense one way or another which version of the Subaru they used... they still should have done SOMETHING more with it. Eh... whatever, I'm still going to get it... :D

I'd rather go back and buy a Silverstreak that I never bought because I had a Smokescreen already. I'm not big on buying the same mold twice. Especially since I'm poor and have a daughter to raise, and I only get to buy a TF like once in a while when finances allow it. To me, Rollbar and Ricochet are horribly lazy and boring toys which I have absolutely no desire to buy, my Hound and Smokecreen will do just fine on my shelf.

If Subaru was OK with it, I don't see why not. Paint it with something other than the rally car scheme, and then it's a WRX with 'street racing' modifications.

and no one's the wiser... heh heh heh.. :)

i agree with the poster who said the should have used the BT* Alert sti version, than each American-relaease Subaru would be a unique model...

It's Chinese New Year, I wouldn't do such a thing now. I'll wait for you to bid on Alt Mirage then snipe you. :ev:

I'm still on the fence about Ricochet. He looks nice and all but I don't want to many of the same mold. Maybe a repro launcher would help.

I'm a horrible horrible completist...and even I feel as if the subaru mould has been a tad overdone. Oh well. I guess I'm biting the bullet again. As if my 4 smokescreens(1,2,7,8), 2 Silverstreaks (L and R steering), and Red Alert weren't enough :stick:

Why isn't he a Meister repaint?

I don't really care though, it looks ok from what I can tell. I would rather buy this than Rollbar.
