I'm loving my Prowl since swapping the legs over. It's amazing how much it improves the posability.

    Thanks Sonscreen, heh.

I plan on modifying the legs too so it can have the G1 feel :D

I just did that and...WOW what a difference. I was displaying him with the rear windows in front any way, but now he can really pose! THANKS!!!

Its too bad Prowl seems to be getting a negative response from so many...I just lucked out and ordered one from the collectors club, so hopefully I'll have something to say about him soon. I fully intend to swap the legs over right away.

I did. I checked before class at around 9ish, out of stock. When I got back for a little break, I checked at 2:30 ish. Snagged the last one:D

I've gotten a confirmation email, but I still half expect an email to the effect of "sorry, we suck, you missed it."

Word of warning... I just got my BT Bluestreak (read BT blue Prowl) and transformed him... Little did I know that the upper arms have little tabs that keep the lower arms in place in car mode... Well, needless to say, I snapped one... Good news is, that tab really isn't needed since his arms stay snugly in place in car mode... But a word or warning nonetheless...

Thanks a bunch! The method I used sucked. The one you show is much better as you can close the rear hatches completely :thumbs2:

Yeah, BT Prowl has a lot of trouble with plastic parts breaking. I'm curious to see if the Alt version has less fragile plastic.

I'll have to keep a closer watch there. Damn this shoddy distribution!

Oh, hey, was the shipping charge reasonable?

Shippign wasn't too bad, 8ish for UPS, 13 for UPS 3 day, which is what I opted for. I still feel like a tool for paying so much for Alts, but I can't let them slip by.

Thanks for the info. I know what you mean about paying so much. I'd rather wait and see if Prowl ends up in stores here, but with the way distribution has been I could be taking a risk of not getting him at all. Hopefully the improvements they're making will make a significant difference.

Hey Sonscreen, is that blue plastic as bad in person as it looks in the photos?

With that change and the new packaging, it's like they're transitioning Alternators to be the main kiddie line.

Well that particular Prowl pic doesn't belong to me! The Binaltech actually has a very nice blue to it in person. That's just my opnion though.

I also keep him in car mode as the bot mode looks really funky. It's almost like he's trying to put on a cop uniform :p

Or did you mean the Alt version? The powder blue looks kind of crappy. That's why I told Redline (and the rest of you guys) to do the leg mod.

I just got my Prowl. I like him. He's not a favorite, but even before the leg mod, a solid middle of the road bot for sure. I love his arms, but his hand/weapon connector is a little weak. I don't mind the powder blue. I'm going to take a bunch of pictures, thne do the leg mod, then take a bunch more. I'll try to get them posted soon.

If anyone was wondering...TCCS ships thing great. Prowl came in a mint box inside a HUGE bow, filled with paper. Despite serious UPS shipping damage to the cardboard box, Prowls box looked great once I dug it out of the paper.

Sonscreen: I was asking about the so-called "baby blue" used on the Alternators version for the legs, pelvis, and car interior. Not the "I'm wearing sweats and heading to the gym" blue Prowl. :)

AutobotEngineer: Let me know what you think about those parts being "powder blue" rather than gray. Does it detract from the coolness of the 'bot mode?

Man, I still can't wait to get Prowl. My Alternators need some new blood.
