Here's one more commission out before I have to really buckle down and finish my list of Toy Fair prototypes/mockups. Starting out as the Optimus Prime Dodge Ram mold; I swapped his head for a G1 hoist and using some random parts, (I forget which mold they came from) I used the tow part and the side moldings that came with it to create the orange back parts for his robot mode and the rest for truck mode. Green is Dark Green from the discontinued Kustom Kolors line and was airbrushed on. Everything else including the side caution stripes were hand painted in enamels and acrylics. Thanks for looking.

That looks amazing!!! I'm really starting to get into Alternators and I think it's because of seeing kick ass customs like this. Keep up the good work.

Ah thanks, that is what its from.
Thanks! Concept goes to whoever made it before me and my clients desire for it.
Yep would have loved an official release that looks like this.
    Thanks!
Yeah I never cared for Alternators much myself as they were before I got back into transformers. I am starting to really like them but man are they a paint to paint.
    Do ett! ^_^
    Thanks!
Thanks very much! The caustion stripes are hand painted my friend, no decals here! ^_^

Looking good Tony. Those caution stripes look sweet too...nice job on painting those on.

Only thing, for me that is, is that I would have liked to have seen some detailing on those leg panels to break up that solid color a bit....still, that doesn't take anything away from the custom overall though. Tip top paint work as always

Quick question: Do the boom/crane become a weapon of some sort in bot mode?

Thanks bro! We were staying with a G1esqe look so solid colors all around for the most part. No weapon from the crane unfortunately its also G1ish and just disappears when transformed. lol

Hey, I just saw this thread and figured I'd weigh in. Tony, once again, has outdone himself. This custom was for me and has assumed its rightful place amongst my Alts/BTs. Thanks again, Tony!

God lord. What a paint job! And the winch is perfect. I also love how you kept the drybrushing to a minimum. It looks like a production toy. In a good way. Beautiful work.

Thanks very much Matt, glad he has a great home.

I take that as a great compliment! Thank you so much. I like the looks of custom Alternators but I want mine to be able to sit with the rest of ones collection not over powering them by heavy looking details but very clean and neat looking. Thanks again!

Looks cool! Too bad you couldn't give it a lift like a 3" lift kit on a real truck with some mud tires ha!
