I loves me skids! that said, I know what you mean, at first, my doors only opened like that, but after inspection, I didnt' have the double-joint pulled out and rotated around all the way.... once I rectified that, they open all the way square!

Overall this Alt is very cool -- I don't even mind the blockiness of the Scion. My only real gripes are the tiny-ness of the gun and how danged loose his ankle joints are. Standing him is a little bit of a pain because you have to make sure to distribute his weight so the ankles don't give way.

Other than that, I really love his transformation. It's interesting and fairly unique, with all its little twists and turns. It's lengthy and complicated, but still fun.

Err...I just looked at comparison pics between BT Skids and Alt. Skids, just wondering, why does Alt Skids have the Scion logo on the front while BT Skids looks like it has a blurred square that looks like BTA Blaster's, small square that says bB... does his say xB?

In Japan, this Scion model is known as the bB, whereas in the US, it is known as the xB.

Got ya on that part, I just meant why the differences between the front logos on both cars. Scion logo on US and bB logo on Japan. And pretty much the logos on the Japanese seem blurred out. :peoples:

If I recall correctly, Japan doesn't have the Scion brand... It is just sold as Toyota... Sort of like Infiniti doesn't exist in Japan for Nissan and Acura for Honda... Not too sure though...

    ***EDIT***

Just did a little research and yes, the bB is sold under the Toyota name... Scion doesn't exist in Japan... :thumb

And I forgot to mention that Lexus is another brand under Toyota as well...

Thanks for clearing that up. Yeah, I noticed that the BT Prowl didn't have the Acura logo too, but has the Honda logo, correct?

Yeah, BT Blue Prowl has the Honda logo on the front grill... BT Police Prowl as a Police Badge on the front grill... Both have the Honda badge on the trunk though...

His gun is a lot smaller than I thought too. The transformation is very satisfying without being annoying. Balancing can be tricky but I'm worried about his ball joint ankles. He feels like he's going to topple at any moment now.

    Still a very nice purchase.

I'm totally digging Skids. The Alt mode is pretty retarded (Scions are uglier then Aztecs in my opinion) but the robot mode is AWESOME. The transformation is tricky but not too difficult. The flames detract a little from the visual aspect of Skids, but look a little better in person then do in pictures.

Skids gets an easy A from me

I just got my Skids from BBTS. This figure ROCKS! I love the alt mode (even though I would never get the actual car). Seriously IMO , this is the best Hasbro has done. The transformation was a little challenging since the Mustang molds, but I enjoyed every minue of it (took me about 3-5 minutes :lol  ).

Gotta love the picture/art for Skids' box. I mean, he is happy as hell. "I got a new body, yay me, an obscure character!!11one11!!!1!" :lol

Is it just me or did people complain how ugly his car mode was but STILL got him anyways. I think the flames are cheesy, but it looks awesome. I want to pick up another one to keep MISB now that they are available in Targets thus far. I kinda like this new packaging since I can basically see the whole car.

On a scale of 1-10. I give it an 11.

    I ♥ Alt Skids.

I mean really, his robot mode is very, very nice. They packed a lot of detail into him, especially on his arms and head. While his transformation looks like it would be simple, it's actually a lot like Grimlock's in that it can get very tricky at points, but then again I had no pieces pop off in the process.

I would also like to add that I love the design on his arms, they could have easily done the arms on the Subaru molds like this with the bicep swivel.

Very nice toy, even if his car mode is silly.
