Well I recently got a Shockblast Alternator (as the title suggests) and have been having some issues with it. So I figured here would be the best place to see if others have had similar issues.

Basically, when going into robot mode, and pushing the head through hood (which sounds dirty, but it isnt), the hood keeps popping off and wont stay in place. I had a bit of trouble with Mesiter, but not as much. So I went to TRU and exchanged it, but it seems to be happeneing again. :banghead:

Any suggestions or ideas as to how this can be resolved?

    Thanks in advance.

    Thank you, Captain Smartass.

It helps a lot if you start transforming the legs before you try to put the head through the hood. Getting them out of the way allows the car roof more room to get out of the hood's way and makes it a lot easier to get the head through.

Unfortunately, thats a common problem with the shockblast´s. When he was released, everyone talked about this matter

Open the hood (before swinging it down to form the chest) and point his head straight up (like he's looking up in the air). Then slowly and carefully rotate the front of the car down to form his chest, at the same time bring the hood slowly closed being careful not to knock it off.

This works 85% of the time.

Well first and foremost, quick thank you to everyone who shared their 2 cents. i did try alot of that, but then decided to jus exchange it again. the 3rd one i got, the hood itself didnt always close all the way (like a smooth edge with other alternators) but it didnt pop off. so for the time being, im content.

but again, thank you to everyone.

Yeah I agree this is the best way to do it...this is how I've done it from day 1 and I've never had a problem with it. Shockwaveblast's weird shaped head just doesn't make it very easy...

Hold the hood down with your other hand while slowly guiding his head through the rotor/triangular shaped hole. Thats just a minor design flaw.

Shockblast's hood popping off is a design flaw, owing to shoehorning his head into a space where it wasn't originally meant to go. The antennae have a tendency to be in the exact same place as the underside of the hood joint, which is why pushing down causes the hood to fly off.

Basically, just be careful. There's no real foolproof way to get his head through *consistently* without popping the hood off.
