Here's my Alternator BlueStreak. After over a decade I finally did what I had planned. Cut holes in the roof, cut new windows for it, graved lines around them to look like the rubber gaskets, repainted to be more G1, and used Galaxy Blue (Rust-Oleum color shift) for the hood and roof so that his name makes sense.
awesome job! fun fact blue streak means something that moves really fast, so Bluestreaks name has nothing to do with color but instead his personality.
It also means someone who swears a lot. His character was supposed to be a war veteran. While they couldn't have him swear a blue streak on a kids show, I think somehow there was meant to be a relationship there. PPS, the preproduction TF was blue and silver (the version that made it to the 1984 catalogue). I wanted to combine that with how he ended up looking in the toon.
This was always one of my favorite molds and you have certainly done it justice. That paint job on the roof and the hood is top notch, very well done!
good idea on hasbros part and not making him swear, imagine the whole franchise failing because of one character swearing on a kids show.
