It's a modded G2 Hero Megs head. Yeah, they do stick out. If you look at the comparison pic with Prowl, you can see that the Skyline wheels and tires(which I absolutely insisted on using) are quite a bit wider than Prowls. As it is, there's only about a mm or so of between the inside of the rear wheels and the wheel well wall. So no, without some serious rebuildng, they were just gonna stick out. Nope, the red panel is in the way. My original idea was to cram it in the rear under the trunk, similar in position to Shockwave's gun, but I'd have had to remove some peices that I thought best not to. Best I've found is to stick it behind the seats...it makes the seat lean slightly forward of a 90 degree angle, and looks a little weird. Other than that, its just too big to fit anyway. Thanks for all the compliments everyone!
Nice work. My only beef is that his arms look kind of gimpy - everyone knows that Megatron has giant burly arms and then tiny skinny old-man legs, not the other way around. (and yes, I know that's the mold's fault, not yours.) I'd consider trying to "disguise" the fusion cannon as a subwoofer or similar - mount it behind the seats and maybe slap a "BASS CANNON" sticker on it?
Nice job man. I need more courage to attempt a reshell like that. Kudo`s to you for that and others who can do it!!
man...... this is all I ever wanted. Hell, it's MORE than I ever wanted. I just wanted a damn alternator Megatron. It didn't even have to be a good one (not sure if I'd call alt Prime a good Prime, but he's a Prime). I just wanted *a* Megatron from the line. Yours is really good. I think I'd call it great. The RSX frame is a little small for Megs, but you've totally made up for it with the utter perfection of the arm cannon, the head, the paint, the red legs, etc. This is an alt to be proud of. Well done. And no, it's not too many pix. I'm gonna go back and look at them now.
