I started this guy a while back when Smog was playing around with Captain America's different Transformation modes. My original design went a little south so I had to trash it. Then I bought this version off of ebay, it hada a great paint job already. I was very happy with the sellers custom, but I still thought it was missing something. So I thought I'd go back and give it a little upgrade to my original design. He's the newest addition to my Alt mini-bots. I think it turned out pretty nice. So here he is ready to Blast some Decepticrum!
Hey, that's the same thing I'm working on! Nah, just kidding. Not this time... But seriously, that looks pretty cool bro.
Thanks bro! Now that I got that done and off my desk maybe I can get back to some of my other projects.
i like how you stuck to the original paint scheme. it actually looks like Brawn right off the bat. did you make a beachcomber too?
No Beachcomber yet I haven't found the right bot yet. May have to go with Hound or Swindle for that one. So far in my Custom Alt minibot colection I have: Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Gears, Windcharger, Skids, and now Brawn.
Very cool! This makes a great Brawn--the paintjob and the headsculpt look nice also. Never realized how awesome this mold was until SMOG did the Soundwave stuff and now these. I agree, I just might need to pick one up someday for myself. Keep up the great work, man (and if you're looking at doing Beachcomber, I've seen one done from an Alternators Hound/Swindle and it actually works out pretty well).
Thanks Guys! I will have to say this just let you guys know that the head sculpt and paintjob I can not take credit for. But all mods, and transformation, also the chest and tire paint job were done by me.
I bought Cap TF a while ago thinking of making a brawn, but I never thoguht of doing it like this. It's so simple that I'm kicking myself for not thinking of it. nice work.
While he may look simple it still took a lot of work. From cutting up the chest and rebuildinging it to look like Brawn than repainting the chest. Theres 3 coats o paint on that chest 2 different shades of brown and orange. Also I had some help from the guy who made the head sculpt and did most of the paint job for me. I also had to drill some holes in his hands to fit his bazooka. But it was all worth it to getta good Brawn w/ G1 likeness!!!
