He came back for Animated, I can't tell wether that was as a guest star or for the sake of fandom, and by watching that, his voice hasn't changed a smitch like Peter's.
Burton even stated in an interview that Shockwave was by far his favorite character to perform in the original show. Come on guys, this is the last time we could possibly ever get to have at least four of the original eighties cast together again, if Chris Latter was still here, and it was Starscream we'd be begging for it. I'm pretty sure before I joined TFW some of you were trolling these fourms wanting Peter Cullen in these movies. And look, they got Frank Welker back by fan demand, even if he isnt voiceing Megs, they still listened.

I say, bring back the only voice Shockwave's ever had.

Either Burton or a completely computerized voice like the Autopilot in WALL*E.

Definitely Corey Burton! His Shockwave voice is awesome.

 

Corey Burton is an awesome Shockwave.

However, this being an entirely new character, if they find a voice that fits, then that's fine as well.

 

I can only hear Corey Burton as Shockwave's voice. It is only logical.

 

Whatevs. Anybody can do the voice, as far as I care.

 

I don't care who voices Shockwave in TF3, just as long as the voice is awesome and menacing.

 

Yes for two reasons:
1) It'd be great to have Corey Burton voice Shockwave, because he did in G1
2) Corey can most definitely do the voice of Shockwave, even if it's not like his G1 counterpart. The man is beyond versatile.

 

Yes, even if he doesn't use the old Shockwave voice. I am confident that he can easily come up with something else that would suit the character.

anyway i never saw g1 and aniamted so i dont know hwo corey SHockwave voice sounds like, but still i dont mind who voices shocky

 

This really isn't a big sticking point for me, but I voted for Burton. If for no other reason than the fact that it is respectful to the fans, but on top of that, his skill is formidable.

 

I don't really care. It would be cool to see him or Liam Neeson voice Shockwave though.

 

It'd be cool if he did his animated Megatron voice for Shockwave. It's a little more menacing than the old Shockwave, but I think regardless, Burton should voice him. Getting actors that understand the characters should be more of a priority in these movies.

I really hope they do bring Burton to voice Shockwave. It doesn't seem far fetched either, they got Frank Welker to voice Soundwave.

 

I think he should. Even if he doesn't Shockwave needs to have that kind of cold, calculating voice.
