Comics Continuum: IDW Publishing First Looks

I didn't see this posted anywhere... and I don't know if it's considered news. But the preview for the issues arriving March 11th has been posted. It's the second last book down the page.

Looks interesting.

 

Glad they undid that stupid Hunter/Streaker headmaster nonsense. Never should have happened in the first place. Can't wait for this issue.

Looks like the series has finally hit its stride. I'm glad, its characterization like this that was so sorely missing in those first couple of issues.

 

ive enjoyed this series all the way through. issues cant come fast enough!

 

AHM has been mostly flat, with a few peaks. The peak of the series was when Jazz laid the smack down on Springer and Blurr. I dislike AHM portayal of Ironhide, as a thick, Autobot bashing, thug.

 

This series is getting better, it definitely reads well in trade format.

 

Ooo... Reflector's really starting to creep me out. Looks like a good issue.

 

I just got the AHM Trade yesterday and loved it. This looks like the series is really picking up. I was never a huge fan of the SS Headmaster thing, especially since it wasn't really handled that well. Though it looks like SS actually misses Hunter.

In fact, the only thing I didn't like about AHM was the jets going from F-22s to F-15's. Not only was it a downgrade but Starscream's original form was so much cooler looking in robot mode. (but by now that's probably way old news)

I don't think IH supposed to be a thug, just a guy who's not used to feeling insecure and handles it the only way he coudl think of in this situation.

 

Any extra features in the trade?

 

Looks good. Glad to see a mention of Hunter in there.

 

Yeah, getting better, from a low baseline though. We're two-thirds in, but the Autobots are still moping around on Cybertron, and the Decepticons still find it amusing to scare random humans in New York. C'mon when's stuff going to happen?

Well, near the end of the trade the Autobots pretty much got their shit together and decided it was time to rebuild Optimus. (though they didn't actually do it in the book, it cut to Earth right after they gave their plan) So I would expect soon. It's been fun seeing Megatron win, but Starscream asking exactly what did he win? Then again, it reads more like a short novel with pictures, so I can imagine peopel reading them issue to issue would think differently.

Besides the usual cover gallery, nothing but a little page by Shane saying how he liked the bad guys more originally, but after writing AHM actually started liking the Autobots more.

there's a few sketches in there at the back of some characters but its nothing really too extensive [or not a whole lot we havent seen online already]

 

Still totally un impressed by this, to slow to little action with random splats of plot devlopment here and there.

 

That's true, yeah, but at this juncture the Autobots are going to need a massive reversal of fortune, and quickly too, so we can get a happy ending at the end of AHM.

I actually look more interested in "Angel: BLOOD AND TRENCHES"
